Best resolution to advice you is to contact Acer Technical Support so that they may provide you the best driver for your laptop's wireless adapter while having a windows xp.

My question is. . do you have all of your drivers?. . . maybe the problem is when you are reformatting laptop the software that you used(OS) have some scratches or maybe the problem is your cd rom/dvd rom. . . because the adapter not completed the installation thats why it is not working and the wireless adapter "not found".

My dear! alway remember that when you use any new hardware you should install driver first and then plug it with CPU. So it could be possible that when you install driver first then card will pick and work properly.

No wireless LAN after formatted

Most Acers use an IPN2220 Wireless card. If yours does and your router is using WPA or WPA2 (TKIP or AES) security then you'll need to update the driver by searching for it manually using the Custom button (Hardware) in Windows update (instead of Express). This driver is not part of XP service pack 2 or 3. In my experience if you don't update to the newest common form of home wireless security (WPA2 AES) then the older formats seem to become unreliable in the way you discribe

Wireless network adapter don't work

when you reinstalled windows on it you must of not installed the most up dated version for your notebook because it did not have it in the reboot/format disk.

i would say open up the computer remove and reinstall the wireless adapter.

Intergrated 3G

If you have the restore cds for windows xp home, the drivers from that will still work in windows xp pro. There should be a separate cd for drivers. Try that first. You can also try Windows update, sometimes it will find drivers.

There are 2 different adapters available for your laptop (Broadcom and Atheros). Where did you get InVilink?
