Question about Gyration Ultra Professional Optical Mouse

1 Answer

Mouse and keyboard would not synchronize

I have a Gyration GP210 wireless mouse. It has worked fine up until yesterday. I disconnected the receiver from my tablet (which I have done many times) to take my tablet to another classroom to work. When I came back and plugged the receiver back in it would not process a signal from the mouse. These are the things I have done; 1. I Confirmed the channel, 2. I did the teach/learn synchronizing process, 3. I changed batteries and repeated steps 1 and 2, and 4. I let it all sit overnight and tried it again this morning. Still nothing seems to work.

Help.

Do you have access to another computer to try this on just to eliminate the possibility of a hardware malfunction? Then get back with me for more troubleshooting

KEYBOARD DOES NOT WORK BUT MOUSE DOES

Check the bottom of the mouse for a small button which will allow you to put the mouse into a synchronization mode. The receiver will have a similar button. Press both and move the mouse around a little until the receiver stops blinking, indicating that the mouse is now synchronized with the receiver.

The keyboard won't work at all. the mouse is fine. tried restarting system, unplugging keyboard and re-installing drivers, now out of ideas. any suggestions?

If this is a wireless keyboard and mouse set, you may need to press the button on the bottom of the keyboard that synchronizes the keyboard with the wireless receiver. THey're probably on the wrong channels. There's a "connect" button on the keyboard and the receiver - play around with these and see if you can get them to re-connect to each other.

Replace batteries in keyboard and re-sync the devices

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>- --> Synching Mouse or Keyboard with Wireless Optical Desktop trnsp.gif Question My mouse or keyboard doesn't work with my Wireless Optical Desktop (Model Number: 64373). What's wrong and how do I fix this problem? trnsp.gif Answer Your mouse or keyboard has lost its sychronization with the Wireless Optical Desktop, which can occur after changing the batteries, for example.

To synchronize your wireless device with its receiver:
  1. Move the device within three (3) feet of the receiver.
  2. Press the button on the receiver.
If the receiver has an LED, the light blinks.
  3. Within ten (10) seconds, press the button on the underside of your wireless device.
If the receiver has an LED, the light glows solidly when synchronization is successful.
Early production units of some wireless devices may require repeating the above instructions two or three times.

Timing, distance, and objects impeding the wireless signal may influence your success. While usually unnecessary, some customers have reported better results by:
  • Holding the wireless device very close, within three (3) inches of the receiver.
  • Entirely ignoring the receiver's light.
  • Simultaneously holding the buttons on both the receiver and the device for from ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds.

How to install Movea gyration wireles keyboard

This is what I read on the net. May help you too/
"Gyration Wireless Keyboard and MouseFor a few months now I've been happily using a Gyration Wireless Keyboard and Mouse for my Windows Media Center. I've been extremely happy with this combo. The mouse can be used without needing a table or surface (you just wave it in the air). It takes a while to get used to this, but once you do then you are free to walk around etc while you control the mouse. The mouse comes with a charging station and also has an optical sensor so that I can be used as a regular mouse.
They keyboard is very small, and is running on it's original set of batteries. It's perfect for MCE as I can easily hide it. Another bonus is that the keyboard requires no drivers and works on the BIOS screen in case you need to make any tweaks etc.
A few weeks ago, my mouse flaked out though. On Monday I finally got around to calling them. The support experience was fantastic. I got a human on the first ring and he told me to send it back to them (no need to find my receipt or anything). Today I got my replacement (total of 4 day turnaround). Now that's great service!"

Try using it. It really may not require a CD to install. Just plug it in and off you go. All the best.

How do i set up my gyration wireless mouse ???

Hi,

The Gyration air mouse is easy to use & install. Just plug in the USB receiver into available USB port, slide the Air mouse switch to on, press the connect button on the receiver & air mouse, your computer will automatically detect & install the device. “there are no drivers to manually install”
Please let us know if that was helpful enough.
Thanks
Shiv.

Dropped keyboard

Instead of seeking repair replacing keyboard is your best bet. The mouse should work as long as you can plug in the receiver to the computer.

Did you try the following.
Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud
