Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook

Changes made to the txt of my emails now show a different color

When I make changes in the text of an email from my sent file or one I"m forwarding from my inbox, it now goes out to the recipient with those changes I made in a different color - blue, when the rest of the email is black.

I've tried changing the color via format but they still appear to go out with the colors when I send them. I'm sure this is an easy fix but can't find my way to it. Can someone help?

    To Womonsoft,\r\n
Ian here at ringup - thanks for the fix attempt on my emails showing changes to text on the outgoing email. Problem: following your instructions, I don't find "editor options" in the Mail format tab. Any suggestions?

Please try Tools, Options, Mail Format, Editor Options...scroll down to the "Cut, Copy, Paste" options and reselect the options as necessary to achieve the formats that you would like.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How to change the text color of email addresses and URLs in my emails, received and sent

you probably cannot change the font color in e-mails received as the service only gets what is sent ( just like a fax )
however in sending e-mails , open new e-mail message or replying or forwarding existing messages
highlight the word/s or passage/s that you want to change the color of , go to the capital A in the tool bar, click on the drop down arrow then select the color that you want
all of that which was highlighted will now be that selected color

I receive emails on my mac and some I forward to friends, but their unable to open them youtube etc and ask I send again but when I try I cannot open either. Please Help

Hi Richard. Thers a good chance you have mail preferences setup to compose new emails in "plain text". And/Or, "Use the same message format as the original message", meaning if you reply to someone who sent you an email that is in Rich Text Format, then your reply will be in Rich Text Format but, if they send you an email in Plain Text Format, then your reply, and possibly any forwarding will be sent in Plain Text also.

For website addresses to be "clickable links" in mail, you need to ensure all emails you send, forward, or reply are in Rich Text Format.
go to Mail... Preferences... then select the Composing tab and ensure Message Format is set to "Rich Text".
Further below in the same tab you will see "Responding" and a tick box for Use the same message format as the original message (Respond using Rich or Plain Text).
If you always want to respond or forward in Rich Text only and every time, then deselect that option.
All links should work and be clickable from then onwards.

You can highlight a non working website link in the email body, right click, then select "Link" then "Add Link" to make it clickable but, you will receive a notification about converting this message to rich text format?"

Basically, the links will not be clickable if you are setup to compose new emails in Plain Text. Nor will any replies or forwards you send that are changing to Plain Text to match the format received by you from others.
Always end, reply and forward in Rich Text Format

Hope that helps.

Emails can be sent using html or txt. Text is for security purposes. You can change it under options, under profile, top right of the email page sort of, just drop down a little.

My email was compromised by somebody.. someone hack it & stole all my files...pleae help me retrieve my files thru the email he/she is using in forwarding my stolen files

First things first. Change your email password if you haven't already. You will want to check your sent folder for any emails you may have lost. Also check trash folder. Once you have located the emails you will want to move them back to your inbox or forward them to a different email account until you are sure that your email security issue has been addressed.
If the messages are not there you may want to check with your email provider to see if they have any way yo track down lost data. If you can give me the company your address is through I can look this information up for you.

Move emails to a windows file?

Hi springtwo.

This has worked for me in the past. Try it.

When email arrives in your inbox - press File, Save as (call it whatever you want to) then move to the next drop down menu and change it from mail (eml) to Unicode text file (txt). It is sent to your Notepaid and then can be changed to whatever you want and saved to Word, or into any document.

Hope this helps.

How to delete the attached files sent in the past? i don't want them in receiver's inbox

If you're sending the email from your computer using Microsoft Outlook or Incredimail,
  • Right click on the email you want to resend and from the menu that appears select FORWARD
  • The email will open up for you to make any changes showing the names of the attached files
  • Right click on the attachment and select REMOVE
  • The email can then be sent without the attachments
If you use an online email facility it would depend on which one you use but the steps are more than likely pretty much the same.
