Question about Insignia 2.0 Speaker System (2-Piece)

1 Answer

I have 2 Insiginia 2.0 speakers. One isn't working.

Okay, so I have the 2 piece Insignia 2.o speakers. The speaker with the volume control and power button works perfectly. However, the other one which is just attached to the main speaker doesn't work. It's done this before where it stopped working then came back moments later.

It hasn't been functioning for about a good hour now.

We purchased ours a few months ago. We had the same problem. All connections were correct and wires were attached. The green light was on and then went out too. They fizzled out. Originally the sound was good. My thoughts are you get what you paid for them.

Most likely a short in the wiring. Either on the speaker, or a short in the plugin jack.

MY OLD INSIGNIA SPEAKERS (WITHA SUB-WOOFER) WENT UP SO I GOT A SIMPLE 2 SPEAKER INSIGNIA 2.0 POWERED SPEAKERS. NOW I CANT GET ANY SOUND. ANY THOUGHTS?

1. Try looking in the taskbar of the Windows screen and selecting the volume control ( a speaker icon) check the mixer see if the volume is not muted or in the "0" position
2.Check the "input port on the sound card where you connected the new speaker assembly.
3. Check the volume control knob on the speaker assembly to see if it is not in the off or lowest volume position.
4. Check the new speaker by connecting them to another computer that has the sound already on and working this will let you know that the speaker assembly is good.
6. check the sound card drivers to the internal sound card that is on the mother board if this is where your sound card is located. Use the "manager" to see if it is working properly. If not then do a "reinstall of the sound card drivers or use the "update feature in the hardware window for the sound card to install the latest version of sound card drivers.
I hope this helps. Have a great day!

My speakers are not making any sound... I recently reinstalled windows and they doesn't work anymore... How can I make them work? I Have windows xp

I am assuming these are speakers connected to the audio connection of your PC or the USB

Are you sure the audio is not on mute. Look for the speaker icon in the bottom right of your windows screen. If it has a red line across it. Right click the mouse on it and make sure the mute button is unticked in the volume control panel.

Also try to check if the volume levels are ok. In case you have got a separate power adaptor then use it instead of relying on the USB power.
