there is an area under the track ball that goes bad if it get's wet. Cleaning that area with a brush can sometime get it up and running again. try to remove the trackball and clean the area below it if necessary. There is a Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry and remove the track ball yourself.

If you still have your old phone, remove the battery and there should be a card underneath (about the size of a thumbnail). Put it into your new phone and you'll have all of your contacts, pictures, etc. or put it into a different phone, temporarily, and then copy them over.

If not I believe there isn't a way to retrieve them.

I have the same problem, and I went to the shop, and they couldn't do much, and even if I sent my phone in, it would cost 170 pounds, basically a new phone. Anyway, it wasn't working for about 3 weeks, until i put the smallest amount of water onto the phone, and it worked perfectly. I turned it off to charge, and when I came back, it wouldn't work again? I'm so confused and need help

My cell phone got wet. I removed the battery right away and dried it for two days. When I got it fired up, only the mp3 is working. All keyboards function no longer works. I can receive calls and text but...

Hi,

Im sorry to hear that you got your phone wet, but to tell you what, you need to bring your phone to any sonyericsson service center for it to be checked immediately. There are some point that the other parts are still wet and may be grounded once electricity pass through.

Cheers!

My wireless keyboard stopped working i have replaced batteries ,checked usb port ,device is recognised by pc,driver ok but wireless device not connecting witth keyboard

The keyboard may have lost connection with the wireless receiver. Take a look at the back of the keyboard. There should be a small recessed button located on the back. The button might be red and say "connect". Once you have found that button you will then need to press the connect button on the wireless receiver. After you press the connect button on the receiver it will be looking for the keyboard to transmit it's frequency. Now press the connect button on the back of the keyboard while you are close to the receiver. When you press the button on the back of the keyboard watch for any light activity on the receiver. You should see some when the keyboard connects to the receiver. After this the keyboard should be connected to the receiver and working properly. If you have a wireless mouse and it is also not working you can repeat the same process with it. It will also have a small recessed connect button on it.

If it does not connect you will want to verify that there is nothing near by that might be interfering with the signal like a wireless phone, baby monitor ect. Sometimes these devices can interfere with the signal.

Let me know if this works or if you have any other questions and thanks for using FixYa.

Keyboard completely quit working, we replaced batteries and pushed reset button with no luck. What next?

Try the keyboard & receiver on some other computer.
If it still does not work, it's time to replace the keyboard.

KEYBOARD DOESN"T WORK!!!!

Replace the battery inside the keyboard.

Make sure the wireless "receiver" is in the "line-of-sight" between the keyboard and the receiver.

Make sure that the wireless "receiver" is still connected to a USB port in your computer.

Short circuit, looking for quote on repair price

That doesn't sound good. I am afraid that your vinals pannel has gotten wet enough to dammage it badly. unplug it and try to carefully open it to access the vinals board, when you have access use a blow dryer on low to try to dry the moisture off. when you are finished try to use it again. If the problem persist it may be beyond repair short of taking it to a repair shop and having the vinals replaced. It is about the same as getting your cell phone wet, the dammage can be sevier. As you probably know the warranty on a phone is covered for almost anything except water dammage in which case it is void. Good Luck
