Two vertical red columns from the top to the bottom of the screen

I have red columns that show up on my screen. One is about 6 inches from the left the other is about 24 inches from that one. Any suggestions.

I started with 2 bars also, now I've got 5 and they're all different colors. Mine's a Samsung Plasma about 6 years old. Do we know what component of the Plasma screen has failed in these cases? I'd like to try and fix it even if it's 4-5 hundred bucks, that's still cheaper than replacing a 46" TV.

The biggest chance is that your plasma screen is shot but just for a second opinion get it checked out at a service center if it's under validity... This is a known issue n unfortunately no solutions...

Tv comes on for a few minutes then goes off

If you take off the front bottom panel of the tv wich is easy. Then you will see 6 tuning knobs at the bottom middle of the tv .the top 6 control contrast for the lights dont mess with those. the bottom 3 are the power to each light.red is bottom left if your screen went blue it makes sense that the red is starting to go but if you turn down the power to it left 1/8 turn it should fix it for awhile .Its easy.

All color guns out of alignment

Needs convergence amps replaced. Sometimes resistors burn and need to be replaced. This repair requires soldering/desoldering equip. and a trained eye, but usually can be done for 175.00-325.00 at a reputable service center. Good luck, Russmann.
