- Okej..lets start with the answers M8
1) teh 4 pin cable goes as you guessed to an hdd or dvd or cd-rom or anything else the requires 4 pin power connection, the 3 pin is i guess, since i dont know for sure, its all about what psu you have, they goes to a sata-power connection.
2) no problems connectint your IDE, ther is one IDE connector on that board, you will see it on page 16, its the yellow one to the right, and behind that one you also have a smaler black connector, that one goes to the diskete-drive if you have one. You dont need to buy anything to connect your ide hardware, you have everything you need onboard..but there is pci cards for ide connection if you ever need to buy one.
3:) always follow the instructions in the book, if the cable is to short buy an extension cable and make it longer. they are cheap and easy to find in any pc-shop
I hope this will solve your problems:)
Good luck to you

- Hi Again!
Sata-drives dont have any pins for master or slave. The dont need that, the sata connection on the board always see them as individuals and the settings is done in the bios whitch one you want to be the first one to boot from, thats rhe only thing you need to do. If you hooking up an IDE disk i sugest you dont install your OS on that one, use a sata-disk for OS and use the ide to store things on. If you only have one ide- disk you dont need to make is master or slave, just hook it up and your bios will detect it.
To give you a good answer about the wires fron the case i need to know the name and model of it, i will then try to find the diagram and manual for it. Sorry if i missunderstod you before about those cables.
For the audio comming from the case you need to make that cable longer, you need to buy a cable like the one from the case and connect them together to make it longer. If you dont connect that cable the headphone contact on the front of your case wont work.
The dvds you trying to connect, are they IDE or SATA connected?
If they are sata you dont have to do anything, thy will both work fine.
If they are IDE connected you need to make them MASTER and SLAVE and you need to put them in the right order as the IDE cable requires.

- Hi again!:)
Thanx for the photos!
Take a look in the manual, look at page 10, find the number 16.
There is where you connect that cable, sometimes u dont need to use all pins on a mobo, try to connect the cable on the 2 pins to the right, those have a dead pin in the midle, if that dosent work there are adapters to buy for making a 4 pin connector to a 2 pin connector. If that is the cable who is to short, you can easy make it longer, cut it in the midle, find a cable as thin as that, and connect them together, dont forget to isolate the cuts. Since they caple is an audio cable there isent any danger fo high voltage, Audio dosent contain any power at all, but to be safe that the cable dosent tuch anything vital on the mobo you must isolate it. Use isolate tape to do it properly.

- Hi!:)
Well, i have a life to, i dont live here:) so i cant always be around.
Now back to your probs. I dont know if there are any sata to ide adapters but i know that you can buy a psi adapter for ide connectins, there a 2 or 4 ide ports on that pci adapter
The cards looks like this:

About the connection for that cable on your photo, try to connect it to the SPDIF port, you see it in the manual on page 10, number 10. That port tranfer digital audio sound

- Hi!:)
Children is a gift! ive gor 2 myself:)
I hope the cal your goba do for help is helpful ND THt the support-staf treat you well!
The big problem is that the case you have is a budget case. Those budget cases are oftenhard to get to fit on onboard items, i know coz i biult a couple of those myself for friends. Often the connectors from the case is different from ordinary connecors, often are the cables shorter than ordinary cables, all of that is done with perpas to save cost. I always tell my costumers to rater choose a better case then to buy an expensive MoBo.
Well my friend, im here for you if you need further help from me. Ill do my very best to help you solve your problems,
NicFeb 19, 2009
- Okey:)
Ive seen that myself, that isue with the screws. therfore i bought 10 different ones, so next time im on a case like that i can always find a screw that fits, The screws that cames with the MoBo is always standard screws, the fits on ordinary cases.
I wish all luck with that call
Let me know how it goes;)

- Hello again my friend!:)
That was an easy one...you connect the wires like this
HDD LED Red/White on 1 and 3
Power LED + Green on number 2
Power LED - White on number 4
Reset SW Black/White on number 5 and 7
Power SW White/orange 0n 6 and 8
nothing on 9, its reserved and nothing on 10, that one is dead

- Hi again!
Sorry for the delay!, i had to find the manual online to read it and see all the connections on it. This manual is verry easy to read and follow
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/mb/driver.php?S_ID=346
Click here to download the manaual:
Manual
Its a pdf-file, store it on you computer.
Open the manual, as it is a pdf-file you can make the pictures bigger if u want, just hit the "+" and if you want it smaler hit the "-".
The big diference on this MB is the front panel header, this one is from the left to the right on line one 1-8 and from the left to the right on the line above from 9-18.
On page 17 you will see the speaker connection, if you want a digital or if you want to connect the front panel audio. See the connectors/cables you have and use the one that fits the cable. You can use anyone of them or non, its up to you what need you have.
On page 18 you will see the audio in connector, that one is for the audio cable from a cd/dvd-rom
You say you want a PS for your old pc....what is a "PS"? is it a Power Suplie Unit (PSU) you looking for?

- Hi again:)
There isent "everyone", its only me helping you my friend:)
Lets see on your problems"
On the fist one: you can change the settings for the mice, you do that in the control paned/mice, there you can sett the scrolling manualy how you want it to scroll.
On the second one: You eiteher need new drivers or firware for the dvd/cd or that dvd/cd cant read that type of dvds/cds you using, there are many diferent types of dvds/cds like dvdr+ dvdr- cdr+ cdr- etc, many readers dosent support all types of those, some can only read dvdr+ some only dvdr- . You have to find out witch type your reader supports.
OR simply your dvd-reader is bad, if so you need a new one. Take that dvd with all the program on, put it in another computer and see if it opens/reads correct so you know that dvd is OK burned.
Good luck
NicMar 24, 2009
- Yep, ive seen cables like that before:) nothing strange with tha cable at all:)
NicMar 24, 2009
- did you set the pins back to master/slave?Mar 24, 2009
- Hmm..ok
I dont know if it helps but here are some advice how to connect hdd/dvd/cdroms
IDE-connections
HDD set as master + HDD set as slave
HDD set as master + DVD/CDrom set as slave
DVD/CDrom set as master + DVD/CDrom set as slave
Try to NOT connect a dvd/cdrom as master and an hdd as a slave on the same cable, that can cause problems, always try to connect the optical iten after the HDD
SATA connections
You dont need to anything at all since eatch and one of the connectors on the MB has separate reading, but you may need to set them up in the bios as first HDD second HDD etc if the bios cant read them properly, that happands if it is a poor MB,
NicMar 24, 2009
- In your bios, can you see all items ? i mean...can the MB detect all HHD:s DVDs etec?
NicMar 24, 2009
- OK, let me know how it goes
NicMar 24, 2009
- Its good to know that i was right then:)
That addapter...my guess is thats an pci addapter, and if im right on that to, it isent expensive at all
NicMar 24, 2009
- That disk, you dont use that a a disk with operativ system on..right?
Then u can do what ever you want with it. If i may sugest one thing..i would sugest you move all the file and folders you want to keep to the C:disk or store them somewere else...then delete everuthing else on that disk..and finally...defrag that disk . The defrag will make that disk faster, after the defrag, you can move the files and folders back if you want them there,
Im happy for you my friend, glad that you made everything work:) and im glad that you let me help you on the road:) THANK YOU :)

- Hellu again!
This is a new problem on another MB right? the old one we solved.
Its allways better to post a new topic when it is a new problem to solve, thats so we dont by mistace dont give advice for something we alryde solved.
Well my friend, why are u using strange programs who working in DOS to format an HDD? Use windows own program for that, that program is secured and acn never change the bios or chande important files in the bios. Cos thats what i think has happend. Something went wrong when your program was working in DOS and the bios got changed.
Sometimes that can be corrected by takeking out the battery on the MB and puting it back again, sometimes it wont help so a new bios need to be installed.
