Simply the player is dead! If you connected player to the pc with no problem it means NO ERROR messages and the driver for the player is ok, you have copied all the mp3 files in ONE directory to the player and nothing happened there are only two possibilities either the PLAY button is stucked or the mp3 player is dead!
Hi. try to reet the player using a needle. There is a hole at the back of the unit and use the needle to push the hole. If same thing will happen afer the reset then this could be a player problem. Formatting will be required.
You need to plug it into a usb device to charge the battery. If you can read initialzing. That means there is power to the battery. Go to RCA website and download the latest updates. And update the firmware to your player.
Initializing is normal - getting stuck on initializing for more than 5-10 minutes [this is after you have downloaded your first batch of 1 million songs (I'm using hyperbole)] is not normal. reset he player, try again. If it fails still go to RCA's support site, or repost new problem here.
If you can check the rechargeable batteries try that. If you plug it into a wall socket with the adapter and nothing happens you might have other major problems. Just a little education: when you buy something especially from other countries alway check it before leaving to make sure it works. Unless there is a company that you can send the warranty unit to you may be out of luck. Sorry.
