Question about Brother Multi-Function Center MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer is printing blank pages

I had a major paper jam yesterday, that I was finally able to resolve. Now the printer "acts" like it is printing (when I tell it to) but the pages are blank! I've tried color vs. black, and also different documents - same result!

    Ok, modification on this error. It WILL print in color, but they are muted. So it would seem it isn't "using" the black ink cartridge. It is a practically new cartridge. Also, mine is the type that will stop printing at all if any of the inks are empty.

    Well, I'm not sure what the problem was. I printed a bunch of things in color yesterday, and later still couldn't print in black. I took the black out and put it back in again, and I rebooted the computer - now it works. Sorry I didn't do them in a reasonable order that would give the solution... Thanks for your help!

Printhead may need to be ran through a few cleaning cycles and or there may still be some small pieces of paper still in the path of printhead.

Dell 3010cn prints only blank pages

Dear Anna: Like your problem is related with the laser unit (ROS ASS), I mean, the printer do not print to the paper the image that have or could have in the drum.

We need to test if this is the problem. To do this, please, with much care: turn on the printer, wait it do it the initial test (5 to 15 seconds more or less), verify have paper in the correct position and the size too in the tray. Print a "config page", but not from "Windows, instead of the same printer. For do this: press Menu, with the vertical or horizontal litle sparrow , chose "print information", then choose "config page" and press the central key to execute it.(See page 32 of this document:

If the was printed well, the printer is not the problem. Try to uninstall the drivers of this printer and then reinstall the right and updated drives from the DELL web link and test again from Windows now.

But if the config. page was printed "in blanking", we have other problem, like the lasser unit.

If you now how to get out a page was have a paper jam in this printer, do it the following actions, if not, do not follow please, because could cause a major problem.

Why does the printer keeps having a paper jam fault on final exit slot?

It sounds like the exit sensor is sticking, so the printer doesn't know the paper has exited & throws a jam.

Jam in duplex area

Its is trick..If its more then two pages print, printer grabs second page even first page in duplex unit., here its confusion. Check with simplex single print, see any paper mismatch error? or printer throwing paper in output bin after successful print?. No.. check fuser out sensor or paper out roller.
Print only two pages matter in duplex, check where paper struck? if paper our roller not grabbing paper back properly in time (slipping while grabbing back) gets jam error.
Always ensure that select proper paper size in printer.Other than this it may major issue, need technical knowledge..& possibilities are less to judge the exact problem..
Keep update us to resolve the issue.

Reading no paper paper tray is full

  1. Check the display for an error message. If the display reads "Clearing paper from printer," the engine has detected a jam and is attempting to eject the jammed pages automatically. These pages will often be blank.
  2. Check the display for "Performing PRINT/STOP TEST" or "Performing SERVICE TEST." Either of these messages indicates that the printer is going through a test procedure that may eject blank pages.
  3. Reduce the amount of paper in the input tray if the printer is feeding multiple blank sheets at a time. The printer will pull extra pages through if the input tray is overfilled.
  4. Replace the paper in the input tray with the correct size if needed. If the 4600 printer detects the paper as an incorrect size for the print job, it may eject the paper without printing anything on it.
  5. Replace the ink cartridges if certain colors are blank on the page. Replace the black cartridge if printing a black text document that is coming out blank. The printer may attempt to print even if the ink level is low or empty, but will unable to print anything on the page, causing it to come out blank.
  6. Remove the sealing tape from newly installed cartridges. The tape covers the print heads and should be removed before installing the cartridges. If the tape is left on, it will prevent ink from getting on the pages as they print.
  7. Press the "Check mark" button on the control panel to enter the printer menu. Run a diagnostic so the printer can attempt to determine the cause of the blank pages printing. Press the up or down arrow to select "Diagnostics." Press the "Check mark" button. Press the "Down" arrow to highlight "PQ Troubleshooting." Press the "Check mark" button. The printer runs a diagnostic and returns to a ready state when done.

Front cover is open
Close the front cover of the printer.
