Remove original document from document processor

Trying to set up new copier, printer, scaner etc. and this is what it tells me on the copier window

The error light is on flashing red and on the window is where it says remove original from document processor. This is a new coppier, printer, scaner and fax also will do photos and I'm trying to connect it to my computer and after we turned it on thats what it did.

Have you tried uninstalling all of it again and try to do it from scratc, you may go to add and remove programs and remove the software that came with the printer, copier, fax machine and also remove it from the Device manager, you can either right click on (my computer) and click on manage and then you sill see Device Manager and remove the printer, scanner, copier. or you may also go to the Control panel>system>Hardware>Device Manager. then restart your desktop and start the install again, first insert the CD for the printer, scanner, copier... run all the setup from there then plug in the printer...

Okay i imagine you have software
control panel add/remove
uninstall any old printers/scanners/copiers
also uninstall the printer you just added
restart your system make sure new printer plugs are in correct
then reinstall your software before trying to use restart system
please let me know what happens
what version of windows do you have

You must reseat the black sensor flag on the document processor cover. Open the cover and you will see the right position. The flag gets into the optic sensor from the back.

These isnt laser copier, you probably refer to scaner assy... but never mind.. lets solve your problem!

First, new inks are reffiled or original?
Remove inks and look for small hole, ussually on top of crg. and blow in it verry hard.After that from crg. must start to drop ink. Put the ink back in and try to copy/print something.Also run head cleaning for few times.

If now it works that could mean two things:
1) the ink was for long time on warehouse, and nozzles are clodged.
2) your purge unit is faulty and it cant drain ink from crg.Replace purge unit, wich isnt cheap solution.
Or,... buy new LASER Canon multifunctional copier that uses TONER.

Yes there is a scanner driver available, this however is a Twain driver and you will need to use the "Import" or "Aquire" function from within word, office scanning utility, Adobe Standard etc for this to work.

Check out this link and use the "TWAIN" driver.

Cannot get my Canon MX700 to Scan. Also did not get a Guide.

You need to install scaning software that came with the printer to scan and save the file to your PC,Out going faxes should not be an issue if you can copy.Once you install the software tell the program where you want it to save the file in ex: My Documents.During set up you can do this (you can change anytime as well as dpi resolution).Windows has built in scaner set up. Go to start, control Panel, Cameras,scaners.Good Luck.

if printer work u have problem with scaner unit! but u say the scaner works properly! so only thing i can sugeest is check your copy settings!

Pages come out blank for letters on word

If you are not able to uninstall works :

Note : Try this if you have Works Disc
Try uninstalling using Windows clean up utility :

You can try downloading from
www.support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

RUn the utility > Start > all Programs > Windows installer clean up utility > Select Works > Click on remove

Restart the computer and install Works from The disc

Look in the Document Processor, That is the auftomatic feed device.Look for a scrap of paper jammed in the machine.Try using a dustblaster(canned air) to blow the debris out of the feeder.something in the feeder is operating the switch that detects paper in the feeder.Good Luck

HP 3055 model scaner problem

Document feeder error means that the printer is expecting you to have a document in the ADF "automatic Document Feeder" on top. If you are having this on the laptop, go into the scanner set up on your laptop, and change the device from document feeder to flatbed. It should work fine. You can also mimic the settings from your desktop to your laptop.

Try this only for windows user:

To resolve this, do the following :

Windows 2000: Go to Start, Settings, Printers.
Windows XP: Go to Start, Control Panels, Printers and Faxes.
Right click on the printer icon and select Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the Print processor tab. The Print Processor screen appears.
Change the Print Processor to Winprint and change the Default data type to RAW .
Click OK in the Print processor screen.
Click Apply, then OK.
