Question about Lexmark Optra T614 Laser Printer

1 Answer

Light prints on one side

When repairing a T614's bell crank I turn the machine on its backside and install the new bell crank. After turning the machine on again I get light copies down the side of the sheet. I have replaced the charge and transfer rollers and still can't get it to print correctly. This has happened a couple of times. Do you have a solution to the problem?

How to lline up timeing marks

on the crank there is a mark on the engine a mark its like a line on the backside of the engine and a spot on the crank sprocket on the top at the cam should have a hole in the center of the cam sprocket with a red line on the head top near valve cover it should line up properly or if you have 2 marks on the cam sprocket -- one on each side of the sprocket and on the engine side or cover should have 2 marks as well that line up do not take off the timing belt until you have all the marks properly lined up then you can remove the belt but do not turn over the engine without installing the new belt

Where is the crankshaft postion sensor on a 2.7L 2003 sebring?

On the front of the motor at the bottom where the crank shaft comes out of the motor, the one with the largest pully, it will be mounted on the outside and has 3 or 4 wires going to it. If you remove and replace it make sure you get the correct air gap or it won't work.

Invalid engine code

The easiest way to solve this is to work through Lexmark Technical Support.

Their web site may have the correct engine code on their site, but installation of the code can be tricky.

Are you getting a 900 Invalid Engine code message?
