Question about Sharp AR-168D Black and White Copier

Having trouble installing a new toner cartridge in a Sharp 168D.

We installed a new toner cartridge into our sharp 168D copier. The copier is not recognizing that the toner cartridge has been installed. We pulled one seal off but it says to pull a seal off of the shutter????? We can't find it.

    Did you buy the toner cartridge from your local authorized dealer ? Because it has a CRUM chip with a code inside that different depends on the destination country and it must matches with the stored in the machine's EEPROM

    Get your old toner bottle and compare and you should find problem. look carefully to see any different pieces or tabs.

Sharp AR5516 Printer Error F2 40 Pls Provide Solution


Detail:

ATC sensor value abnormality

Cause:

Connector connection trouble
Toner cartridge installation trouble
Sensor breakdown

Check and remedy:

Connect the connector again.
Install the developing unit again.
Replace the developing unit with a normal one.


Thats what the Manual says, your toner is not replenishing , could be your toner motor , or your toner is empty , or your developer sensor

HAVING TROUBLE INSTALLING A NEW TONER CARTRIDGE IN SHARP ARM 257. COPIER IS NOT RECOGNIZING IT...F2 04


AR-270NT is no longer accepted by that copier. You must use AR-310NT. Or, you have a bad chip on the back of your cartridge.

Error code F2-04 and E7-10 on AR-168D


F2-04 is an improper cartridge code and the E7-10 is a shading/lamp brightness issue. I would say the F2-04 is causing both coded, Change the toner cartridge. I have seen those chips on the back of the cartridges cause weird problems. That or the developer unit has failed.
I strongly suspest that once you resolve the F2 issue the E7 will simply go away.

I have an older Sharp AR-168S printer with U2-40 error code.


U2-40 CRUM communication error

Detail-Toner cartridge CRUM data read
error

Cause-A toner cartridge of a different
destination is installed.
EEPROM trouble
Check the destination setup.
Toner cartridge CRUM PWB trouble
MCU PWB trouble
CRUM connector disconnection

Check and
remedy-
Install a specified toner cartridge.
Check the SIM 26-6 setup.
Replace the EEPROM.
Replace the toner cartridge.
Replace the MCU PWB.
Check connection of the CRUM
connector.
Execute SIM 16.

How to refill sharp 168d


First open the right-side door, then depress the upper side tabs of the front door to open it.

The toner bottle has a green, square plastic thumb grip on the top, front part of the bottle. Press down on this part as you pull forward. You should be able to remove the bottle and replace it. Make sure the new toner bottle fully seats before closing the unit up.

Close the front door, then the right-side door and the machine should recognize the new cartridge.

If you're looking to have the bottle re-filled, you will need to contact one of the third-party companies that refills and sells toner bottles. I would advise purchasing a new, authentic bottle of Sharp toner for this unit, as re-filled, non-Sharp toner providers have a history of selling poor quality toner refill kits.

My SHARP AR-168D is not recognizing a new toner cartridge.


Make sure what you've got is Sharp's AR168NT and not AR152NT. Sharp mades changes about a year ago to their toner and the chip on an AR152NT will not work with an AR-168D model.

F2 problem


Hello sir; Make sure the cartridge you replace one is right one, then you can try to reset it ;
1, press "#", "interrupt", "c", "interrupt" keys.
2, enter 14 then press "start".

Crum data read trouble in sharp ar 207


The CRUM chip is what tells the copier that the correct toner is installed. It is specific to the toner cartridge. If it is a new cartridge then it should have a new CRUM chip and there should be no problem. If it is a recharge it's possible that the chip was not changed or the wrong one was used.
