Question about Acer Aspire 5050-3242 Notebook
Hi I have an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop with a completely busted screen. It has all of my school work on there and programs that I need to get into. If I were to get an external monitor... how would i go about hooking up the laptop to the monitor and what key combination would I use to get the external monitor to display the laptop screen. Keep in mind that the screen is so cracked that I cannot make out anything on the screen. If anyone has ANY advice I'm willing to take it! It would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Lindsey

Just your luck that Acer 3680 has a VGA connector so u can hook up an external display very easily...
Connect the monitor, flat panel, or projector to the laptop's 15-pin video connection on the back of the computer as shown to the right. Once connected, your laptop may automatically switch to the new external display or you may be required to press a sequence of keys in order to switch from the laptop to the external display.
. . . . .

Then press Fn + F3 & voila... you got dual monitor setup...
Lemme know if this helps :-)
