Question about Printers & Copiers

6 Answers

I work on a networked MacBook and iMac both using Mac OS version 10.5.5 and I have a HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One Printer. I am trying to get the Scanner function to work and also to switch the printer from a USB connection to a wired (ethernet)networked connection. But I cannot find the installation CD. The printer was bought in March 2006.

Alas, it is not as easy as that.
I have trawled through all the help lines and assistance from Apple Mac and HP that I con find, and spent the whole day on it but have got nowhere.
So please, if anyone can really help me, rather than fob me off, that would be wonderful.

Can't print from HP 2540 aio to my Imac PowerPc G5 OS X 10.5.8 The Imac keeps telling that the printer is offline.

A quick look at the HP web site for this printer shows that it only supports Max OS X 10.6 and later. These versions only support the intel processor based macs. Your PowerPC mac is, unfortunately, obsolete as far as Apple and the peripheral manufacturers are concerned and is not supported.

Hp photosmart 3210 software is not recognizing

If that's the case the best way to resolve this is to download the printer software and use that in installing the printer to your Vista computer, you can download the printer software from this link.

I have a MAC OS 10.4.11 and an HP Photosmart 3210 all in one. I use Iphoto and have been trying to print a 4 x 6 photo from Iphoto directly to printer. No matter what I try the photo tray does not engage...

I haven't been able to make it work from photo tray either but I do put photo paper in main tray and change settings in Iphoto accordingly and print pics that way.

You can log on to the hp site and get the current driver/printer software for your printer. Get the mac os version and install via usb. Download and install then restart your imac... then attempt a print...
Should work fine with an iMac.
