Question about Eiki LC-X1100 Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

Eiki LC-X1100 Powers "off" after 10-15 minutes

We have 2 of these at church in a very open ventilated ceiling. One will power off after 10-15 minutes for no apparent reason... the other is in the same environment and stays "on". It will manually (using remote) power "on" after a few minutes. I checked both small air filters... they're OK. I talked to a Eiki tech... possible lamp or ballast (expensive). Any other tips?
Thanks,
John

Even if the filters are clean, you will still need to blow the dust out of it with canned air. may be overheating. otherwise, sorry to say, it is the ballast.

in primary power-supply circuit there are 2 smd capicitors,1uF and 2.2uF, replace them both by standard radial 105 C electrolytic, also replace the 220uF capacitor that is located beside these 2.

Can get any power on on my eiki lcx 1100 projector

Thermal fuse, located under the lamp might be activated, open lampdoor and push carefully the little black pin. If it gives a click it was
activated due overheating. If not, replace 1uF, 2.2. uF and 220 uF capacitors in primary part of the power supply, it takes some work to get the pcb out of this model !!

My Eiki lc-x1100 is not displaying very bright. I bought is used from a university and it only has about 900 hrs. on the present bulb. Is there something else that would make it dim? Don't want to...

i would check the physicality of the lamp. once you've removed it, look around the filament of the lamp, and if you notice any dark corrosion build around it, then that's what's causing the dim image. if it looks clean and clear, it might be one of the mirrors within the projector's optical engine.

Have a close look at the fan and check if there is a make and model number on it.
If you cant see anything, unscrew the fan and check on the hidden sides.
see what voltage it is. ie 12v dc or 24v dc

Ring the EIKI agent and ask them how much for a replacement rear fan, the EIKI part number, and also if they can supply the manufacturer of it and their part number.

Check that the fan connector is OK, and the socket where it plugs in.

Check that the fan turns freely.
