Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Had virus2009 deal popping up - ran spybot - AV soft - now when you restart pc it comes up to user acct which there was never one set up and it goes to log in then logs right back out - tried going to restore to latest working version - nothing - tried starting in safe mode - admin user and daughters user tries to log on then logs off - is there a way I can get to the regedit - I know my husband was in there yesterday trying to delete the virus.
The operating system is damaged beyond repair, the virus2009 is a Win32 trojan virus which has ravaged the windows directory folder, whatever you try to do now nothing will work, the only option you have now is to recover the system with a recovery or windows installation CD/DVD this does mean you will loose all the data from c drive unless you plug it up to another computer as a slave and recover your data before reinstall.
Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
