There's a few things that can cause this. The case that is holding in the sim card is lose, the sim card itself is not all the way in it's case and connecting it to the phone or the sim reader on the phone is not working, or the sim card is bad. To check to see if the sim card is bad...put it in another cell phone that is also with your same network carrier...if it says the same thing "insert sim" you have a bad sim card and will need to go to your local carrier's store and get a new one or call your carriers customer service line. Hope it helps. Good luck

Offline mode on nokia e73

Most of this problem comes due to failure of Connection between the Sim card and the Sim card slot.Since, there is no separate Sim card IC the only thing you need to check is to clean the Sim card connector or sometimes the connector might bend. Moreover, you can at least insert other Sim card and try.Otherwise, contact nearest mobile repairing shop.Good luck. Thanks for visiting fixya

It comes up with Insert SIM Emergency? What is SIM?

A SIM card or Subscriber Identity Module is a portable memory chip used in some models of cellular telephones. The SIM card makes it easy to switch to a new phone by simply sliding the SIM out of the old phone and into the new one. The SIM holds personal identity information, cell phone number, phone book, text messages and other data. It can be thought of as a mini hard disk that automatically activates the phone into which it is inserted.

A SIM card can come in very handy. For example, let's say your phone runs out of battery power at a friend's house. Assuming you both have SIM-based phones, you can remove the SIM card from your phone and slide it into your friend's phone to make your call. Your carrier processes the call as if it were made from your phone, so it won't count against your friend's minutes.

If you upgrade your phone there's no hassle involved. The SIM card is all you need. Just slide it into the new phone and you're good to go. You can even keep multiple phones for different purposes. An inexpensive phone in the glove compartment, for example, for emergency use, one phone for work and another for home. Just slide your SIM card into whatever phone you wish to use.

High-end cell phones can be very attractive and somewhat pricey. If you invest in an expensive phone you might want to keep it awhile. Using a SIM card, it is even possible to switch carriers and continue to use the same phone. The new carrier will simply issue you their own SIM card. The phone must be unlocked, however, and operate on the new carrier's frequency or band.

When it's not inserted properly, it displays insert .You will need to insert the sim card properly so that the message won't come up again..

Nok 1100 insertsim

Hi,when a phone has an insert sim problem, They are two likely places you need to check.
The Sim tray where the Sim card is being inserted on the phone.

And also the Sim card that is being inserted in the phone.

You can use the Sim on your friends phone to see is insert Sim will still come on.If it doesn't come on,that means the Sim tray which is on the phone is damaged.and will need to be replaced.

Take care.

My pantech matrix cell phone says insert sim card

This problem arises sometimes because the mobile is unable to read the SIM. May be you should fold a small piece of paper in the same size of the SIM and keep it on top of the SIM and then insert the Battery. I think this will solve your problem.

I have a sony ericsson cyber-shot 5.2 mega pixels and when i turn it on it keeps coming up on the scene saying ' insert sim card or view a demo of the phone first' when the sim card is in the right way and...

hi, have you tried inserting another sim card? try inserting another one and if you still get the same message it means the the memory space of the phone might be faulty...if after inserting another sim and it worked properly, it means that the sim card signal is week..it means you have to contact your service provider.

Sim isnt working!

go to a competent Nokia Dealer and ask what is happening to the sim connections on the phone. Have a competent repair man look into the sim connections. Demonstrate what goes wrong and ask that somebody fix the problem. Sim issues are not for amateurs and should be seen by real Nokia Certified repair people

Wen i insert sim phone comes up offline - does this mean sim is not inserted properly?

Try the sim in other phone, if it works, you just have your Nokia in Flight mode. Disable flight mode.

Cant use it

im not sure about this one as i would have to see the phone but i believe that one of the pin receptors to your sim card is damaged or the slot or latch you put your sim card in has come loose some if it is loose try some tape if not then take it to a cellular repair store and get an estimate on how much it will cost to fix it
