Hello.

1. The button on your remote or TV that you switch channel over to for watching DVD usally got 3 different modes, AV, Comosite and RGB, Have you tried to switch inbetween these modes by pressing the same button several times to switch inbetween the modes ?

2. If its connected to the TV via a scart cable make sure the connectors are fitted all the way into the socket on both TV and DVD. These connectors can be hard to get all the way in sometimes.
.
3. Some DVD Players have internal settings for the output mode if you go into the menu and settings on the DVD.
Make a note on what it was set to before changing

Hope this will help you with your problem.

Scheduled a timer recording of a program on a DVD+R and when I went to play it back all I got on the screen was noise and snow. I now realize that I used the wrong disc (should have used only DVD-R). ...

Hi,During timer recording adjustment you must have selected what ever you want to record..i.e: Tuner Channel , or ,Video1 input ,or Video 2 input etc..This problem is related with Source selection but not with - + type Disc..wrong disc will refuse to record at the beginning..

The noise and snow shows that your recorder was Recorded an unadjusted RF channel..thus no TV signal was available during recording ..
I assume that your DVD recorder has built in TV tuner in...To correct the problem, first you make an automatic Ch set up ,search the available channels either on the Cable (if you have ) or RF local channels thru Arial Antenna..
than you try to record again by carefully selecting ..you will record TV RF channels successfully. Or you can attach another video source to your Recorder thru the RCA cables on the back panel and by selecting the respective SOURCE in accordance withe cabling you have made than you will record the AV signals available on your Receiver..
If you need more help pls let me know for further advise.

WHEN I PRESET THE VCR TO RECORD MY SHOW LAST NIGHT 8:00PM IT WOULDNT WORK THE RECORD LIGHT DID NOT COME ON AT THAT TIME

There are a few things you must do in order to program a recording. One, you must make sure that the vcr clock is set. Two, the vcr must be set on the right date, as does the recording. Three, make sure that the daylight savings, AM/PM, etc. settings are saved accordingly. Also, if you have the operating manual for the vcr, you could check it for exact program instructions. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck! Sincerely, Der Strom

DVD player will not read any discs.

> I tried recording a VHS to a DVD according to the instructions in the manual.
There can hardly be instructions in the manual to do this since that model is not a DV Recorder, but if it isn't reading any DVD then you have a warranty problem assuming your unit is still within the warranty period.
That unit is capable of recording DVD content to VHS tape but not the opposite.

Useless at setting up. No sound on playback. Blocked timer record

You won`t get round the scan without an aerial. You still can set a recording as long as you set the recording channel as av2.Make sure the scart lead is fully in on dvd and tv,this can lead to no pic but sound,or sound no pic

Can I record sound only through Camera sound inputs from Record

You might need a source picture from a camera or off the tv so that the DVD has some sync pulses to actually record the sound. Some won't do anything without any pictures.

Changing the time

Press "HOME MENU" select "INITIAL SETUP" and advance forward to "CLOCK SETTING'.

Enter your time manually OR

Select * "AUTO"

*Some stations embed the proper time within the transmitted signal. Your Pioneer will calibrate it's clock according to your local studio time.

I found a full users manual online and I looked for a place to post it here, but I found no place to do so. Sorry.

Hope this helps!
