on any screen, the button to go to next screen aren't visible, for example as I'm typing now, there is a button to the right of the box and the button is "add a comment". I can see it on my laptop computer, but on my desktop, i can only se a box that contains a shapes of different colors. when this happens on e-mail, I can usually right click and tell it to display picture, but on the desktop, it wont give me that option.

Sounds like you are explaining placeholders for unviewable images. Your settings in internet explorer are blocking you from viewing those images. You can relax your security settings to allow the images to be viewable. In the internet options menu for internet explorer, or any browser for that matter. The advanced tab will show you a list of checkboxes for items that are enabled, and not. Follow the list down to multimedia and select show pictures.
This should fixya if this is indeed your problem.

Sounds like you may have the screen enlarged. Press your F11 button. It will maximize or minimize your screen (depending on what position it happens to be in at the moment). Let me know how that works for you. If it did, please rate my answer!

So it's okay on some but not on others. What do the buttons look like that you have no idea what they do? Are you able to take a screen shot (CTL+ PrtScn/SysRq) and then paste that into a Word Document. Email that to billspeer@hotmail.com and let me take a look at it.

Computer screen is blurry

The clarity of your screen is very important to making your computer easy to use. Here are some steps for troubleshooting common causes for a blurry screen.

1.Check the connection between the monitor and your computer. It sounds elementary, but a loose cable can cause many display anomalies.
2.Update your video card drivers from the website of your video card's manufacturer. If you don't know your video card make or model, click the start button, click "Run" (skip this step in Vista), type "devmgmt.msc" and hit "Enter." Find "Display adapters," and your video card should be the first listed item in that category.
3.Check your display resolution. Right click on an empty region of the desktop, and choose "Properties," then "Settings." Try various positions of the "Resolution" slider to see if they affect the blurriness. A Google search of your monitor's model number might tell you the optimal resolution for your screen.
4.Right click on the desktop, and choose "Properties," then "Appearance," then "Effects." Put a check mark in the box labeled "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts." Use the pull-down menu immediately below that check box to select "Standard."

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

The computer screen is turned upside down. How do I turn it back around?

If you are running Windows 7 right click on your desktop, click on Screen Resolution, then change the orientation setting to the desired setting (which is likely landscape)

If you are running Windows XP Click "Start," then "Control Panel," "Display," the "Setting" tab, and then the "Advanced" button. Check for an "Orientation" option. Select your desired orientation

How do i use print screen key on this keyboard?

The print screen button is in the top right area of most keyboards. When pressed, it copies an image of whatever is being displayed on the monitor at the time. Then when you open an image editing program (MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) You can right-click and click "Paste". This will paste the image of the screen you copied. So, in conclusion...
1. Copy the image that's being displayed by hitting the print screen button. 2. Paste the image where ever you want it.
Hope this answers your question!

My computer monitor just has a window open that says ( D-SUB out of range 53.6khz/85hz) how can I fix this ?

1. Turn off your computer (you can do this by holding down the power button).
2. Making sure the monitor cable is plugged into the computer, turn the computer back on.
3. If there is something other than the error message on screen, begin tapping the F8 key on the keyboard as soon as the computer turns on. 3b. If nothing (other than the error) is shown on the screen after restarting, you must obtain another monitor and follow these steps from the beginning on that screen.
4. After less than a minute, you should get a menu like this
sammiller001_0.gif

5. Select "Safe Mode" 7. Once at the Windows desktop, right click on the background, and select properties.
sammiller001.gif

8. Select the "Settings" tab, and move the resolution slider all the way to the left.

9. Restart normally, and once in regular Windows, repeat steps 7 and 8, selecting the resolution of your choice.

The image projected by my NEC RD-436E projector is just the background of the computer screen. The icons or any application I open are not displayed. I presume this is some setting that is incorrect.

If yoyr operating system is MS Windows, right click on the desktop, go to properties (or personalise), and at the settings tab check the monitor's settings. In order to have the same image on the projection, you have to un-check the "Extend my desktop" option.

How do I change my computer monitor to 1680 x 1050?

First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig. below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

xp-screen-resolution-1.gif

The areas worth noting are: google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor, but the standard options are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1152x864.

Normally the default (in XP) is set to 800x600 which means the display will be 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

Color Quality
This pull down box will contain the current colour options available, again this will depend on your grahics card and monitor, for best results select the highest option available.
Changing the ResolutionTo change your resolution simply slide the bar along to the resolution of your choice and then click the Apply button.

After clicking Apply your screen will resize to the new resolution and you will be presented with a confirm dialogue box, if you are happy with the way your screen looks then simply click Yes, if you would like to try a different resolution click No.

When you have finished simply close the Display properties box.

My system is workin properly but the screen resolution is very dim it seems to be very light ..... even we can't read any thing on that. i checked my monitor with another cpu its working properly can...

IT IS NOT HARDWARE PROBLEM
Change screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They also appear smaller, so more items fit on the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items fit on the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images might have jagged edges.

For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is a higher one. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. Whether you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.

21b7b862-a70d-43aa-a281-e00c38a8078d.pngText and images are sharper and smaller at high screen resolutions

2aca9658-0ee7-4b8d-a582-cac335550f26.pngText is larger and easier to read at low screen resolutions, but images are blocky and fewer items fit on the screen

  1. Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings.

  2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply.
