PROBLEM WITH COLOR DISPLAY NO BLUE - FLATRON EZ T710B

HEy fella'z i have this weird problem with my monitor...i know it's old and i should get a new one...but i need i still need it since i'm not in position to buy new one yet...

anyway... i've noticed that my blue color is not present or it's very very weak.... so my picture is kinda yellow...and ofcourse bit darker cuz of it...

Now i know there has been some issues with whole series of that monitor.... cuz i've been working in some pc store...and a lot of those monitors broke..same way as mine... and i know that ppl who repaired it said it's something simple...and they just had to burn on (solder) something back ( cuz they didn't do it right at the factory)..it took em 15 minutes to do it... now i don't wanna waste my money and ask someone to repair it... cuz i can do it alone if it's simple... i just wanna know where to start : S

Sorry for my bad english. :/

hmmm i'll try to open it and check what's it all about...anyway they were mentioning before that it's some " cold solder " problem and it de-attaches from the board after some time (i'm not sure what and where :S)

But thanx for the help and your opinion !!! Well appriciated !!

p.s. that was fast lol ;D

Its very possible the the tube that produces the blue color has depleted or burnt out. If that is the case then it would have to be repaired or replaced. Im not so sure that its just a solder issue I think it has more to do with the tube itself.

The image on my monitor (T710B) spreads of in the middle and narrows in the ends.

there should be a button on your screen that will open a menu -- here you should find an option for "Geomentry" or "geom" or something similar (it should have a picture that shows what is happening to your screen. Go into this option and play around with the geometric shape of your display -- you should be able to square off the corners so everything looks right again. You might have to then play with the screen size or position in order to get the display centered again ... but this should not be difficult (the options should be in the same menu as the geometry option.
On my monitor, the menu button is located right next to the brightness and contrast controls ... hopefully you should be able to find the buttons, and navigate the menus without an issue.

Weird colors!

Normally this happens if the plug at the back of of the monitor or the computer loose. Try to secure that cable. If they are secure, check the pins on the ports at back of the monitor / desktop or the cable. I also suggest that you try a different monitor cable.

Screen is now a weird color

The problem might be in the cable. Try to reconnect it to your machine. Also try to set your color settings on the monitor itself, so that all the colors are equal.
