1. check the drivers update for you device This is found at the manufacturers site. 2. See if your device is compatible with the OS (operating system) on your laptop. 3. Check the connecting cable to see if you have a broken wire inside the "strain relief". The cord at this point will have a puffy part that indicate that there is a broken cable.
Get a flash light, look inside at the battery pack's connections(1) And then see if there's rust,a dull appaerance to each spot where the battery connects(2)Go to a radio shack and see if they have an equivalent fuse, and a manual for the fuses installation(s).Get Presonus online,and/or write them aletter about thier devives problems.
A lot of the Audio drivers or Tascam and m-audio devices really only work for windows 32 bit reason i tried installing the same stuff for windows 64bit won't work in less u have vista 64bit But regular windows 32 bit works with every program out there. The mac if it did work it should pick up a signal if it worked properly but it sounds like the mac don't read it even with drivers .
This also could be a problem with your device if you had the same problem with it last time. replace it with a new one and try the install again on your computer and see if it works after that.
Hi. Forgive me for asking, but did you try unplugging everything, including the firewire, and plugging it in again?
If you try this and it doesn't work, try shutting your laptop down gracefully, then unplug all the Firebox connectors including the electricity. Wait about 10 seconds, then reboot your laptop. Don't open your recording software yet.
Connect the electricity and the firewire as described in the Firebox manual, and then open your recording software. If this doesn't work, something might be wrong with the Firebox.
The problem you have happens once in a while with mine--it seems to be connected with overheating or something. Anyone else have this problem?
