Hi, This is due to the lense problem, when there is "disk error" and "no disk" appears due to defect in the lense and tray with motor problem, You can repair this issue by technical method by replacing the lense with motor set this will resolve your issue.
The reason for the error message is because your DVD player is set to one specific zone.
The below procesure will open the DVD player to play all zones.
TURN ON THE PLAYER PRESS OPEN/CLOSE USING REMOTE PRESS STOP-7-3-4-4-6-6 YOUR REGION AREA WILL APPEAR.
PRESS "0" TO UNLOCK (OPEN the DVD player to ALL zones) ALL, THEN WAIT.
INSERT YOUR DISC.

I have a region Code For A Philips HTS-3544 which is 1 model Down. You can try it, it may work or it May Not.
Heres How:- power on the TV/DVD without any disk in the player.Press open/close eject.
Press Stop 184.108.40.206.6.6 ( on the Remote )
The menu code appears On The Screen.
Press 0 for region Free, or the region Code Required.
Power Off and then on Again, if the codes have worked, your dvd player is now region free.
