Question about Sony KV-40XBR700 40" TV
I realize after reading the many posts that my Sony Trinitron KV40XBR800 needs service by a technician as the red light keeps flashing and there is no picture. However, the TV is set up in a cubicle that does not allow access to the back of the TV. Does the technician need to get behind the TV or is access from the front?
Almost certainly it will be necessary to remove the set from any enclosure as access to its innards is gained by removing the rear housing completely.
If you feel around the back edge (hidden) of the bezel, I'm sure you will find several depressions; these are recesses for the screws that must be removed.
Sorry about your Sony problems, their quality has greatly diminished in recent years.
