340 battery/charge

Doesn't this player use a normal AA battery? If not, and it has a rechargeable battery built in then there are 2 possibilities. One, the cheap battery you got from China is no good. I always wonder how they can sell batteries for under $10 and ship all the way from China for free. I suspect it's because they are pretty crappy batteries. two, your player has a short in it somewhere that is draining the battery. i have an iPod that does that. I fully charge it and turn it off. Next morning it's dead again and i've replaced the battery numerous times.

You need to post make and model number. A Google of those numbers brings up nothing.

In my experience battery compartments always have a diagram. 'Springs' always go in the negative, 'Buttons' always on the positive.

Dis you remove the batteries? Sometimes you have to pull straight up hard to get it to release. Have you watched the video on Youtube about taking it apart? I dont think it will come apart without the batteries removed. That is the only thing I can think of why it will not come apart.

Olympus FE 340 won't open

You didn't provide much information to work with, but your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances are that your batteries need to be replaced because they're just too worn to properly power the camera. And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

try taking out the batteries, and clean the connectors that the batteries touch, and the ends of the batteries (if recharagable). Sometimes a dirty connector can make the batteries seem that they are dead even if they are rechargable. If the camera works with new disposable batteries but not with the rechargable ones, then you may need to purchase some new rechargable ones.
