you don't need to remove it, you need to deactivate it in the settings because tapping it by mistake automatically activates the feature.

How to add words to the t9 dictionary.

Adding words to your phone's T9 dictionary is quite simple.
If you have a newer model phone with newer versions of T9 when you try to enter a word that isn't recognized you should be presented with a prompt that says "Add word" or "Spell".

If you have an older version of T9 don't despair you can still add words. All you have to do in this case is: switch from T9 mode to "abc" mode and spell the word one letter at a time, hit the space key, then switch back to T9 mode. Whatever word you just spelled has now been added to your T9 dictionary.

How do i delete words that have been added to the dictionary on the tocco ultra

You can't delete other than by reflashing the phone or some phone RESETS will reset the dictionary You can however "lower" the word you want to ignore in the T9 word option list.

This is done by typing the same letters as the word you dont like such as "WOT "and repeatedly replacing ( i,e. choosing it from the options) it with the word you do want say "YOU".

So start an SMS message in T9 mode and repeatedly type "wot" and replace it with "you"

you you you you you you you you................
save the message in drafts

start a new message in abc mode the type

you you you you you you you you................

save to drafts..........

start a new message in T9 mode and Viola - "you" should be above "wot" in the word option list.

The T9 dictionary has "learned" your preference.

Regards.........B

Predictive text

Hi,

I had this problem and it was very annoying. What you have to do is..... create a new text message, enter the text that is annoying (mine was is coming up as 47). When you type the word and it comes up with the annoying one, select the word that you wanted and enter a space, and do it again and again (you can do this in the same text message - it can take up to 20 goes and eventually, the dictionary recognises that you actually wanted "is".

Reset the T9 text dictionary

I ran into this problem as well, and it is extremely annoying. I just lived with it for the longest time and then I finally decided to go looking for a solution. That came to a quick end when I found the Samsung FAQ and it said that there is no way to delete words from the predictive dictionary. However, that got me thinking. If it's predictive, can I teach the predictive to write the correct word? The answer is YES! Open a blank text message, don't worry about a number just go to the text entry portion. Type out the word and press zero to change it to the correct word instead of the numbers. Do this 10-20 times IN A ROW and then the phone will recognize the right word as being most used and change it back to that.

Using T9 mode
T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to
key in any character using single keystrokes.
Entering a word in T9 mode
1. Press [2] to [9] to start entering a word. Press
each key once for each letter.
For example, press [4], [3], [5], [5], and [6] to
enter HELLO in T9 mode.
T9 predicts the word that you are typing, and it
may change with each key that you press.
2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting
characters.
3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.
Otherwise, press [0] to display alternative word
choices for the keys that you have pressed.
For example, OF and ME use [6] and [3].
4. Press [ ] to insert a space and enter the next
word.
Other T9 mode operations
• Press [1] to enter periods or apostrophes
automatically.
• Press [ ] to change case. Lower case (No
indicator), Initial capital ( ), and Capital lock ( )
are available.
• Press [ ] to insert a space.
• Press the Navigation keys to move the cursor.
• Press [C] to delete characters one by one. Press
and hold [C] to clear the display.
Adding a new word to the T9 dictionary
This feature may not be available for some languages.
1. Enter the word that you want to add.
2. Press [0] to display alternative words for your key
presses. When there are no more alternative
words, Spell displays on the bottom line.
3. Press <Spell>.
4. Enter the word you want using ABC mode and
press <OK>.
