Question about Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White

Fridgidaire gas range issue

Model # FGF326ASE sometimes it will flash code F3. It's not heating properly. I'm guessing it's a temperature sensor. Would this be the only possibility & how can I check it to make sure this is it? and what are other possible reasons for it to not work?

Jonniewalker your very helpful. How do I locate pins 12 and 13 from looking at them. is it left to right and/or top to bottom. I do have access to a volt/ ohm meter. And to get it straight, if it is reading room temp (ie. 11000 ohms at 75 F) it is failed because the 15 pin plug comes from the sensor it self or am I testing from the EOC?

F3 Oven Sensor Open Replace Sensor

Remove the oven from the cabinet, remove the rear cover and check the
sensor wire harness from the sensor plug to the control board.

The F3 error code indicates that the EOC (Electronic Oven Control
board) senses a problem with the oven temperature sensor. You could
have a defective sensor, a failed EOC or a bad wiring connection
    between these 2 components.
Normally, a technician is needed to
diagnose and repair this type of failure. The technician would unplug
the range and access the EOC in the console. He would pull the 15-pin
plug from the EOC and measure the resistance between pins 12 and 13 of
the plug. This would check the temperature sensor and connecting
wiring. The tech should measure about 11000 ohms at room temperature
    (75 degrees Fahrenheit).
If this reading is good, the EOC would be the failed component and would need to be replaced.
    If
the resistance reading of the sensor circuit is bad, the reading would
be taken directly from the leads on the temperature sensor. If the
resistance reading taken directly off the sensor is bad, then the
temperature sensor has failed and would need to be replaced. Otherwise,
the wire harness is the failed component.
    If you have a volt/ohm
meter and the technical expertise to safely access and test internal
components of your range as described above, you may be able to
diagnose and repair the range yourself. hope this helps pls do let me know ill appreciate a fixya rating.thanks and Godbless

Why does the f10 code keep appearing on self cleaning fridgidaire oven? When using oven it starts heating out of control. Tends to happen when oven is being used for longer periods of time.

The thermostat is defective. It is a temperature sensor operated switch. It turns the heating element on and off to regulate the proper temperature in the oven at all times.

Whirlpool Gas Range SF357PEKQ0 -- over heats; will not shut off; have to turn off at gas line behind stove. Error Code: F3E2. Is the replacement part I need the thermostat sensor? Is this part easy enough...

Hi lkanderson97,

This error code F3:E2 means that Oven temperature is too high (Cook mode). The only way to resolve this issue is to replace Oven temperature sensor (RTD). This part can be replaced by your husband. You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central. Just get your model number ready when you call. Once you got the part instruction is also provided on how you'll replace the sensor.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How to Fix Code F3 on GE Oven

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

F3 and flashing on Kenmore oven

HI. this is a basic temp sensor issue. the oven control is programmed to cease operations if it dose not receive any resistance signals for the temp sensor during high heat situations.

Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
