Question about Sentry Fireproof Safe
I have a perfectly functioning Sentry Safe Model S3517 which is approximately a two foot by two foot fireproof safe. EXCEPT the lower hinge bracket fell off and was swept up and is gone. I contacted Sentry, but it is not a part that they sell. Has anyone had this happen before, and any ideas for a replacement hinge bracket? I was thinking about getting an "L" bracket from the local hardware and trying to bolt it into the frame? Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

SOURCE: need to reset combination
A good locksmith would tell you all you have to do is line up the notch in the tumbler wheels with the bolt bar. Turn the dial three times to the left and line up the first notch with the bar and note the number. Then turn the dial 2 times to the right to line up the second notch note the number. Then turn the dial left to the last notch note the number and turn the handle to retract the bolts. This will be your sentry safe combination. To dial the safe open see these opening instructions.
