Question about Wenger DAYTONA II Mouse

1 Answer

Can't use dropdown menus anymore

I recently purchased a Wenger Daytona 2 (blue) mouse. After installing it I noticed cannot select drop-down menus anymore. I checked my mouse settings in the control panel and noticed when I clicked the drop-down menu for scrolling X amount of lines per turn the number would increase everytime I moved the mouse. So any drop-down menu I try to set a value for it will always set to the maximum.

I have this and other problems with this mouse. It didn't come with a driver and I don't think the default driver supports it properly, but I can't seem to find the right driver. Anybody know what driver to use with this and where to find it?

I have this problem as well. However, it did fix itself for a little while when I replaced the batteries. I'm not sure if this was just dumb luck or what, but after a while with these new batteries the problem came back.

Ya same problem! And their website does not even have the product on it. I cant find it anywhere but third pary websites and stores. It does seem like it would be a good mouse if it had all the kinks out but with no support and so many not working well id just find another nouse.

I have the same problem with the drop down menus as well, also when I try and scroll down on open windows it won't let me, it keeps jumping back to the top of the page when you scroll with the wheel or use the slide bar on the side of the window. But, when I get on the internet it scrolls fine. Cannot find any support anywhere for this mouse.

Mouse jumps when scrolling in folders but not in internet browser.
Drop down menus don't work in internet browser.
No product listed on manufacturer website
    No drivers listed
    No windows update support

Bought the mouse in Walmart. Kind of upset with it. Would be a good mouse if it did not have these issues.

Yup I am having the same problem. I JUST bought the mouse yesterday. Swiss-Gear Daytona II from walmart.

I'm thinking it cant be the batteries, because the item is new. When I go home I'll replace the batteries and if that doesn't work, then I'm returning it back to walmart and getting a whole new different product. I thought maybe it was something I was doing; or I thought I got a defaulty mouse. Looks like it was wasn't any of that. So I won't be getting the same product again.

This mouse would be great if it actually worked properly. I mean the back and forward button is a great feature and the battery indicator is also nice, but if the mouse doesn't work probably, the feature are, well, basically useless.

Its so annoying that I cannot use any program because of the drop down menu issues, scrolling issues, etc. More than one of these issues are present in my mouse.

NOTE: I have Vista Ultimate, so hopefully this works for those who have XP!

Okay i had this problem but I went to Dell and downloaded this driver

Either click this link provided or copy into browser.

Download, install, and restart.

I hit the connect button on moth the USB and the mouse at the login screen, clicked the mouse button, and VIOLA, it worked!

Scrolling works, drop down menu's and the forward and back buttons on the mouse work as well!

Hope this helps to those who have experienced this little hiccup.

Mouse will freeze using Ubunto linux

Hook the mouse up to another computer. If it works without freezing then you'll need to go into Ubuntu and see what programs start up when you go into Ubuntu and disable some of them so it frees up memory.

If the mouse freezes up on another computer then the batteries are going weak and you'll need to replace them.

Please could you provide simple instructions for installing a Logitech Optical mouse ?

If you are on Linux, the mouse should be recognized automatically, and the driver should already be installed. The same goes generally for Mac OSX.

For Windows, try downloading the appropriate mouse driver from the Logitech website (

I am plugging the stick into my office laptop. There doesn't seem to be a connection with the stick and the mouse.

First off make sure you have fresh batteries in the mouse. If the batteries are missing or weak then that would cause the no connection between the mouse and the usb stick.

After you check the mouse out for fresh batteries, then go ahead and plug the usb stick into your laptop. At this point you should hear a sound and windows should install the drivers for that mouse, if it doesn't then the next thing would be to try another computer or laptop that has working usb ports and try to connect the usb stick on another computer.

If it works then that means there is an issue with the usb ports on your office laptop. If the mouse still doesn't work then that means the usb stick is bad and you would need to buy a new mouse.

I can't get Wenger Daytona wireless mouse working and try to load drivers on new laptap windows 7. The drivers automatically downloaded by windows 7 but computer does not reconize it. Please help.

Remove the drivers from the system.

Go to start, control panel, programs and features, and remove them, should say wenger.

Now after the drivers are uninstalled, go to there website and download the drivers for win 7, if it did not come with them, or use the disk if it came with one.

Install the drivers provided by the company and not what windows loaded.

Follow the directions, when you plug this in, do not let windows load the drivers, see if the directions allow you to load the drivers then plug in the unit, and make sure when windows loads them it is the driver from the company.

You can check after by going to, start, and type in devise, in the list you will see devise MGR, open it and find the mouse under mouse,
expand it and look for the brand you installed.

Right click on wenger or what ever it says and click properties, and then click on the driver tab.

It should say under the driver tab, wenger, if it says windows, it loaded windows driver and not the driver from the company.

Can't work wireless mouse Daytona II

You have to plug in the usb receiver thingy.

Put the batteries in mouse and turn it on by switching the bottom from off to on.

There's a button the usb receiver. Push it. It will start flashes, turn over the mouse and you'll see a "connect" button. Push it.

a warning though, the product isn't good. everybody seems to be having issues with it & they cant get help from the makers of the product; so if you can, I would return it from wherever you bought it from. I got mine from walmart last night and I will be returning it tomorrow and exchanging it for a whole new different product
