RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100

Problem in using Gmail Mobile in Blackberry Pearl...

By lawyer - usenet poster

The program started normally and asking me to login. Then after asking
me to grant right to get access to http, it started to logging me in
and showing the "Loading" on the top right corner as usual. After half
a minute, it prompt me with the following error:
"java.lang.NullPointerException: Cause Unknown"

Does anyone come across this problem with your Blackberry Pearl before?

Same problem...java.lang.Error: Cause Unknown and
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

I used to code java and this sounds like an istallation problem or some
type of class path problem. Not sure how to fix this on the
Blackberry. Need help!

See if you can clear your java script with holding down the alt key and typing LGLG, clear java script and see if this resolves your issue.

The java errors usually have to be fixed via software download/upgrade (4.3)

Hi,

So, after installing Google's Mobile Services package I have had no
problems with this internal server error. The strange thing is that I
only installed Search & News, as I had already installed Gmail & Maps.
All the icons updated including Gmail & Maps, and I haven't had a
problem since. I'm able to refresh, reply, forward, etc - without any
errors. Strange, but it has worked for me for over a week now.

Regards,
~ Rob

I have a java.lang issue as well on the same phone,

java.lang.RuntimeException: Unexpected server response: 500 Internal
Server Error

This comes up when I attempt to refresh the inbox, and also delete
messages.

Gmail team - any way to fix this?
