My GE Dishwasher PDW8700N00BB has water standing in the pan over and above the normal 1 to 2 cups and I don't hear the same sound it used to make through the disposer when draining. Hose seems fine and no air lock to my knowledge.Just started product is just over a year old.

Drain line/air gap A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Pump Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.

Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

Drain valve and/or solenoid Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.

Belt One brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. If this belt is broken or has fallen off, replace it.

Motor If the motor isn't turning or working, the unit won't drain. First check to be sure you have power to the dishwasher. If not, see the section "It doesn't work at all." If the motor hums but doesn't turn, it may need to be replaced.

Some dishwashers are susceptible to getting stuck if you don't run them regularly. If you haven't run the dishwasher for more than a week, you may need to manually spin the motor to free it up. If the motor is defective, you need to replace it. Dishwasher motors can't be serviced.

Timer Part of what the timer does is control the motor and drain valve. If the timer doesn't work properly, the water may not drain and you need to replace the timer. This problem is uncommon.

that is present inside the dishwasher. That's
not a big worry,it wont affect your product in
any way.onlything is you wont get any such
sounds during the time of draining.Alarmer
could be a problem due to some fault like

Most likely there is food or debre stuck in the line preventing drainage.

To be sure, this is the sink/disposal we are talking about, or the actual dish washer?

Alot of time a dish washer will have its output water line connect directly into the disposal where it empties and goes down the disposals drain, the problem can occure when the line goes up hill to drain instead of downhill with gravity, causing dirty water to stay backed up and it begins to stink.

Also, a disposal is made to chop up debre that gets past the sinks little filter screen, not to poor entire meals down.

You may have large chunks of food clogging up the drain and backing up the water.

You may have to disassemble it to clean it out. Make sure when using the disposal that you run the water while its on, this allows for easier flow of food debre.

draining the water out....

  1. Check for hose kinks or food plugging drain hose. Start at the drain port exit (there are others, this is just an example)
  2. Check the check valve and drain hose for debris.
  3. Check pump motor for reversing during the pump out make sure the dishwasher is pausing between the wash and drain cycles letting the pump/motor reverse for the drain cycle.
  4. Check timer for not letting the dishwasher pause. ( not all dishwashers )
  5. Check pump motor assembly for a drain solenoid, during the pump out make sure the solenoid makes that distinctive "clunk" noise
  6. If you have recently installed a new garbage disposal, check knock-out plugat connection.
  7. Check pump impeller for damage.
  8. Check that the water inlet valve isn't seeping fresh water into the dishwasher when off.
Scrape away large pieces of food, bones, pits, toothpicks, etc. Burned on food should be loosened before loading. Empty liquids from glasses and cups. Foods such as mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice and tomato products may cause discoloration of stainless steel and plastics if allowed to sit for a long period of time. Unless the dishwasher is to be operated at once, it is best to rinse off these food soils. Load racks so that large items do not prevent the detergent dispenser from opening. If the dishwasher drains into a food disposer, be sure disposer is completely empty before starting the dishwasher.
disposals have a "plug" in the connection stub for the dishwasher drain hose. This plug MUST be removed or the dishwasher will not be able to drain into the disposal.

Don't know how to increase the ring volume?

To increase the volume for the ringer, the volume buttons located on the charging stand can adjust the volume. To change the ringer volume on the phone instead of using the stand, go to the menu on the phone and type 1 then 1 again. This will take you to the ringer volume screen. You can select between the options:{1}: Low {2}: Medium {3}: {0}: Off.

My panasonic cordless phone model # KX-TG2258S the handset works but when you dial or talk or even just pick up the phone you don't hear any noise at all. not dial tone but it does call out. you just...

Do you even hear white noise? If not, it sounds like your phone's speakers may be broken, or it has water damage. If your landline is connected to more phones, ask yourself these questions:

Do all of the phones have this problem? If so, it's a problem with your connection, not the speaker.

Is there a volume button anywhere on the phone or the base? Try turning it up.

Do my phones make a "beep" noise when i push the buttons? If not, did they used to? If they don't, then it's likely that the speaker is no longer working properly.

You may need to contact panasonic and see if they will replace it for you.

Hope this helped! Please rate my solution!

Sound inducers do go bad. Normal the same audio amplifier is used for both the ear piece and the speaker. Since the speak does work, it sounds like the ear piece has died.
