Check the air flow on the outside at the vent. If it's a long way to that point then a leaf blower attached to the inside should clear any blockage.
I use an oven temp check gauge from wal-mart. I put the gauge right at the dryer discharge with the hose disconnected. It should stay between 125 - 150 and I watch the flame at the same time.
Does the flame come on, How long does the flame stay on, etc.
The low limit thermo disk keeps it between 125-150 and the high limit acts like a fuse. When it cuts off it will not come back on.
The low limit is on the air discharge and the high limit is next to the heat source.
Ok, this must be in the gas valve. The solenoids that open the gas valve can be checked with an OHM meter to see if there is a break inside the coils.

ive allready checked that. dryer vent is clear and free from blockage. i think i forgot to mention its a gas dryer
i have the little access panel off in the back and can see the igniter glowing but fails to ignite the gas.
