I cannot make a call from my Linksys spa901

When i try dialing a 3 digit extension within the office from my Linksys spa901 i get a beeping tone. What could be the problem

PEOPLE CANNOT DIAL AN EXTENSION


The extension range needs to be allowed in the Auto Attendant. For example, if most all of your extensions are in the 100 series range and you are trying to get to a 200 series extension then you have to have the option in the Auto Attendant (under Menu tree) for button 2 that says "Reserved in Dial plan".

If the extension is in the correct range then you should check to be sure that the extension is Dial Plan, Tables, Internal 3 Digit extensions (click devices using for older software). Make sure that extension is in the list (on the left for older software).

Hi Richard,

May be your new Router is blocking the ports used by your IP Phone by default. Check with your phone service provider for Voice Port (Mostly SIP or H.323 or SCCP) and open that port in your router.

can you explain me how is your phone connect to internet.
best on your Question its seems to me you cant hear a dial tone because of following one or more factors might apply
  1. you must log into the Extension Mobility service
  2. you must enter a client matter code (CMC) or forced authorization code (FAC) after dialing a number
  3. your phone has time -of-day restrictions that prevent you from using some features during certain hours of the day

Call forward will not turn off, have tried *74 & *73 , have rebooted and turned off then on, call divert symbol still on and phone calls still diverted.


To set Unconditional Call Forward ON Dial "*72" for a dial tone. Dial the forwarding number followed by "#". Wait for dial tone. LCD will display "Call FWD Activated"
To Cancel Unconditional Call Forward: dial "*73" and get the dial tone, then hang up. LCD will display "Call FWD Activated

but, since you have tried those two, it could be that there might still be a different type of call forward option that is still ON, on your phone like Busy Call Forward and Delayed Call Forward 1. To Cancel Busy Call Forward: dial "*91". Wait for dial tone. Hang up.
2.To Cancel Delayed Call Forward: Dial "*93" for a dial tone, then hang up.

Description
The attendant can perform a directed call pickup from the console. This will permit calls to be retrieved before the recall timer expires or if calls have been transferred to the wrong extension.
Conditions
None.
Programming
Assign an access code to Feature 09 (Directed Call Pickup).
Enable COS Option 218 (Directed Call Pickup).
Operation
• Dial the Directed Call Pickup code.
• Dial the extension number of the ringing telephone - the call is connected.

No dial tone on cisco 504G phone


to use an Ethernet phone you will need a VOIP supplier ( You will need to Google this for the country you are in ) . You will not be able to use it until you have these set up. Ethernet phones are not like a standard home phone which use your local exchange to route your calls they use servers on the internet to do that and route your call to landlines.

Phone line juction connection?


FIrst of all, you don't change the line from the pedestal to the trailer. It's not your cable and it doesn't matter. Dial tone comes in on that cable and it works just fine. It's also the feed to your DSL modem, based on high frequency and not data.

If you're trying to feed different dial tone to 4 phone jacks, you need to find a way to unsplice the cables. In truth, all you have to do is find the main feed from outside, wire it to the DSL modem, and backfeed the 3 other cables with the dial tone from the Vonage or whatever ATA. This backfeed will run on any cable and does not need to be Cat 5e.

If you're trying to run network cables, then you need to run a new cable and connect it to a router or switch at some central location. Those cables need to be 5e.

Lost the IP from spa901


Hi!

Try this:

Press ****110#

Once you pressed the asterisk symbol four times (*) you should hear an IVR then press 110# and it will tell you it's IP address.
