Re: Major Dot Matrix Printer Problem Using Win2000 Hi To get greater security we have recently switched a small network from 98 and Millennium to Windows 2000 Pro We have 3 dot matrix printers printing different sized labels, Our software is written in Visual Basic and relies on Setting a User Defined Page length to move on to the next Label. All the printers and the printer Drivers worked well under 98 and Millennium by setting the pages properties to User Defined, but with using the windows 2000 printer drivers there is NO User Defined Properties for the printers Which is making all the software useless.
Q). Does anybody know of a Epson dot matrix compatible printer driver for Windows 2000 pro that can be set to User Defined paper page size. Q). Does anybody know of a printer that the driver for Windows 2000 pro can be set to User Defined paper page size. Q). Does anybody know of a way to help me
I am not able to print labels correctly. dot matrix printer print first label and left the space of A4 size and then print next label. This happened when i upgrade my PC from Windows 98 to Windows XP

I use my Epson LQ2180 (heavy duty & wide) dot matrix for label printing in W2kPro-SP2. Epson's W2kPro driver works admirably. The driver has a whole bunch of page sizings. Though I have to say I have not seen, or even bothered to utilise, a *User Defined* page setting in my particular driver set.
All the Epson driver stuff is available on Epson's FTP site for downloading. Previously I used the following URLs... # and my access details for my FTP client are... ftp.epson.co.uk/pub/uk/drivers/printers/inkjet/pc
best wishes, Robert
