Display/text info (ie..clock/time, station, etc.) won't come up on my CDX-FW570. Lights do come on though and the unit works fine other than the display issue. Can someone help. I have read manuals and am not getting anywhere. I'm reading info about a code? Is there a code I need to use and if so, without being able to read the display how would I be able to enter this code?

I have a CDX GT610, the issue is that is not possible to change stations, even if I try with the push buttons to record the stations, it remains on the same station (number 3 in my case), besides the volume gets high if I want increase the volume, any suggestion about it??? please let me know
Try removing the face panel - behind it on the main unit you will see a indent (small hole) that says reset, insert a ball point and you will hear a bleep (sometimes). Replace the front panel and everything should work, though you will need to reset stations and clock.
sounds like a very common power wire issue. if not connected to the cigarette lighter or other continous power source when the car shuts off all memory will be lost, ie... audio settings, station memory, clock memory
The problem is the ribbon cable, the one connects the face to the main board,if you live in USA you can order it from pacparts.com or sony.com.
For replace it you will need to open the unit and open the face by moving manually the gears, then remove the side screws of the face and remove face, then remove the cd mech. you will see the ribbon connector.Just replaced and put everthing back togheter.
press the display button until the time appears on the display (instead of the radio station or cd track). once on the time press and hold the display button and the time should flash. use the sel (aka select) button to jump from hours to minutes.
