SOURCE: HOTPOINT AQUARIUS CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER CTD40

There are three water reservoirs - one at the bottom behind the condenser, a second at the back bottom of the machine and then a third at the top which is the one you would normally pull out to empty.

There is a hole at the bottom of the filter in the first reservoir (at the back of the condenser) which leads to the second reservoir at the back. If the hole gets clogged up with lint/muck then the reservoir at the back does not fill up.

So to solve this, unplug the machine, take out the condenser (front left bottom of the machine) reach through to the back and mop up the spare water with a towel and check that the hole to the back reservoir - you can feel this it is towards the right side at the back of the machine is clear from muck.

Once you have cleared it, water will flow to the second reservoir and then (once you switch on the machine) up to the main removeable reservoir at the top.

Hopefully this helps. GB

Code F4 5 LED lights on a Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer

The F4 error code and 5 LED lights on a Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer typically indicate a problem with the moisture sensor or the condenser unit. The moisture sensor is responsible for detecting the amount of moisture in the drum and the condenser unit is responsible for removing the moisture from the air.
To troubleshoot this problem, you can try the following:
  1. Clean the condenser unit: remove any lint or debris that may have accumulated in the condenser unit. Make sure the condenser unit is clean and free of blockages.
  2. Check the moisture sensor: the sensor may be clogged or not working properly. Clean the sensor and make sure it is connected securely.
  3. Check the air flow: make sure that the air flow to the condenser unit is not blocked.
  4. Check the drain hose: make sure the drain hose is not clogged or kinked, and that the water is draining properly.
  5. Check the water container: make sure the water container is empty and not overfull.
  6. If the problem persists, it is recommended to consult a professional technician to check the dryer or contact the Hotpoint customer service for assistance.
It is important to note that these instructions may vary depending on the dryer model, so it is best to consult the user manual for specific instructions.

Drum keeps filling with water even in dryer mode

Open up the top of the machine. Plug off the wall mains. Turn off the wall faucet. How is the wire connection for the inlet valve, the water inlet. Fine? If not unscrew the inlet valve from the corner of the machine after disconnecting the hoses, & dismantle to clean it up, re-assemble, refit back to machine.

Condenser on Hotpoint Aquarius dryer not collecting water

I think that I have already suggested some possible reasons for the prob you are experiencing with your dryer, but I don't think I have mentioned the fact that the pump could be fauty, you should be able to hear it running, just a thought , you never know.
