My Gateway 600x is having frequent power interuptions
The power keeps being interrupted to my 600x, like someone has flicked the power switch quickly off and then back on again. This causes a reboot, of course right in the middle of something. There is no pattern to it. I replaced the surge protector, but no go.

Your internet speed might be causing this problem, which is why it's interrupting your download and causing it to stop. Make sure you have enough download speed to quickly download songs or whatever you choose to download, and if you're certain you do, quit any programs that use internet usage to make sure it's not competing with your downloads.
Sounds like you need a new power adapter. The M675 needs the correct voltage constantly to work correctly.I'm using one right now and it does the same thing with the wrong adapter or a weak adapter(low voltage).M675 is a great laptop but with the 3.0ghz its got to get the power it needs especially when its under a heavy load.
Interrupting a restore is bad, very bad, but I guess you figured that out. At this point, you're going to need to start by doing a bios flash. Use another machine to download the system bios from Dell's support site and create a bootable disc. There should be a section for creating a bootable disc in the downloads. Run the disc in your machine, then do a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. This will cure the glitch that was created during the restore interruption.
