If you are getting 49.XXXX error codes while printing PDF files, you can try upgrading the machines firmware.
This seems to be a common "PDF file printing" problem with the LaserJet 4250.

Printer error 49.4c02 may occur due to corrupted print queue. Just clear the queue and restart the printer and the error may be fixed. This would seem to work for most cases. If none of them are corrupted, check to see if any of them are in an uncommon size. Larger printings tend to result in this error as well. Check if it's the cause by clearing the queue then printing normal-sized documents instead. The error may also be caused due to complicated fonts as they are harder to read, especially if they're in color or written in a pdf format. When you place a document for scan, you must select the portion you want to be scanned.

You must also set the resolution which is set to 300 by default, if you want a actual size then set the resolution to 75, which is 3% larger then actual image.

It will reduce size in KB or MB of your image and it will be exact size.

Similarly, when you want to print, you must select option "Exact Fit" and print your document.

Everything will be normal.

The only way to use the printer is to POR or recycle the power and delete the print job from the server or spooling device and cancel it on the printer before the offending command is issued to the printer again. SOLUTION FOR HP 3055 SOFTWARE INSTALL ERROR!

THE METHOD:
Search for file "DPINST.LOG" on your computer. This will show you specifically what ERRORS are taking place.
