You need to ensure that youre recording in Mono. When adding a track in cubase a prompt appears that asks you about the configuration [stereo or mono] make sure its set to mono. Also make sure that you press the monitor button on the front panel so that its pushed in (mono setting). And finally beware of your monitor mix settings... If youre listening via the headphone jack on the front panel, the monitor mix needs to be turned all the way to the left (ie Direct).

Hello!

In MSN in option you have audio and video setup.
When you go in audio and video setup, you will see a speaker, and you sound card must be selected.
It is posible that you have something like webcam and that is selected like usb audio.
For microphone select device you use.

I Installed the Lexicon Lambda and followed all of the instructions to the letter. I can hear sound out with no problem, but when I record, it records from my laptops internal mic. Thus, everything in the...

You will need to go into your sound properties, you can do this by clicking on the speaker Icon thats down by the clock (lower rights hand side of your screen) that should bring up sliders for everything.
Their is also other options and advanced options you may need to enable that could be specific to your devices. but the main thing here would be for you to disable the one mic and enable the one you want and also possibly lower its sensitivity levels.

I have a compaq MVS540 monitor. It has the microphone incorporated. I can listen what others talk to me but I am not listened by others. I am not expert at all.

You need to plug in a connecting cable from the microphone output jack on the rear of the monitor to the computer's microphone input jack. This is the same type of cable used to connect a speaker system to the audio output jack.

If the cable is already connected, be sure your microphone is not muted. Verify the settings through the Control Panel "Sounds" application.

Microphone problems

Go to your control panel in windows, you can get there from the start menu no matter what version you are on.

In the control panel, double click on Sound. In the new window, click on file and settings... or advanced I cant remember exactly which as I am using vista. There you should be able to select "Recording". Click ok.

Now you should be able to see where it says microphone, with a volume bar and so on. Put a check in the "Mute" box. This will not completely mute the microphone, it should only make it to where you will no longer hear it on your speakers.

Try talking to your friends now... It should work! I hope this helped to fix your problem, if not, let me know and we can try something else.
