Question about Toshiba E-Studio 3511 Color Copier

3 Answers

Toshiba 3511 copier will not reset after replacing cyan with new cartridge. Have gone thru all of user and admin. features to replace this-but unit still wants replacement and toner has been augered to the cyan developer unit. even reset the developer and still nothing works. Do we have a defective sensor on this particular color developer? If so how do you check it or bypass it? Even did what the engineering update requested anout locking the cartidges into their holders better.

Yes, this is a bad sensor. it will have to be replaced or, re aligned to specs. check the wires that are connected to the sensor. they could have slipped off the contact.

Toner cartridge carries the reset chip. You usually have to replace them about every 3-4 ink changes.

Do all color toners need be replaced at the same time?

NO. They should or at least NEED to only be replaced when called for by the machine. For example you would only need to install the Cyan toner cartridge if the machine was saying to replace the Cyan toner.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Toshiba e-studio 280

Go into 'User Functions'

In there somewhere will be an option to replace the toner, press the cyan toner symbol and open and close the front door, the 'enter button' will be able to be pressed.. press enter and you should be ok..

Hp C6280 printer cyan head has completely gone dead

You could try to clean by wiping the ink cartridge connector pin for cyan ink with a dry cloth. If this printer have this, usually when times gets by, its gets oxidize creating a thin film of insulation.

Just for input.
