There's been rumor that the 2.2.1 v is actually causing iPhones to crash..but not many people have heard of it yet! Call Apple Tech Support at 1800-MY-APPLE and let them know you downloaded the latest software and they should be able to further assist you.

Hi there,there are some solutions which can fix that: 1.You can press the power button and home button together for 10 seconds.The iPhone will show up and reset. 2.Maybe the iPhone 4 LCD Screen Touch Digitizer AssemblyLCD Display Touch Screen for iPhone 4 are damaged.I know the LCD show image,but the touch screen should be changed together with LCD.So,please go to the repair shop to change your front screen.That is a complete front iPhone 4 LCD Digitizer Assembly.
