If your Samsung remote does not offer some sort of code search capability you may only able to control your Samsung DVD player by pressing the DVD button to turn it on. It may be more practical to purchase an inexpensive universal remote and use it to control both your TV and your DVD player.
It seems that there is no direct setup code to this brand DVD player, with this remote control. Anyway, you can do a code search method to find out, if there is any codes in this remote control for the said DVD player. If you do fail in this code search method too, there is no other way than buying a new remote control, which have setup codes to Liteon DVD player. If
you wish to get more details, check the sites linked here. Setup code list, and setup procedure to many
popular brand remote controls are given.http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic
/ Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left
of the display window, will make surf easy.
You may need to check the age of the remote. The codes in a universal remote generally only control those devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your RCA DVD player is newer than your remote, you may need a new remote.
Ideally I need you to clarify a few details on your exact RCA remote model and number and also whether this is a Samsung TV or other unit like a DVD etc.... that you wish to program
However assuming it is a Samsung TV here is a list of the common RCA codes for this TV. You will need to go through each one individually until you find one that works.
Code 1004 for Samsung TV
Code 1005 for Samsung TV
Code 1006 for Samsung TV
Code 1012 for Samsung TV
Code 1013 for Samsung TV
Code 1015 for Samsung TV
Code 1017 for Samsung TV
Code 1019 for Samsung TV
Code 1082 for Samsung TV
Code 1104 for Samsung TV
Code 1105 for Samsung TV
Code 1106 for Samsung TV
Code 1171 for Samsung TV
Code 1172 for Samsung TV
Hope this helps. If so please do rate my answer.
Otherwise please post up additional details as outlined and I will see what I can find.
Remote control codes for your TV can be found here. Search for your TV model number, then click the Support tab. If your remote isn't listed, try codes for the brands listed in the note at the bottom of the page.
I have a 37 inch vizio and had the same problem. After a little web research, I came across a suggestion that the LG codes might work. I tried it and found that the code 19 worked. You might try that. If 19 doesn't work for you, one of the other LG codes might (they are 06, 21, 22, 23 or 78).
