Brake pedal sticks!

The brake pedal on my driving force gt is sticking just on the surface so that the brakes are just barely on when I step off the pedal. I have to manually lift the pedal to stop braking...any solutions?

What is the proper way to hold and use the Racing wheel for Gran Turismo 5?

you dont. its not really designed for gran turismo at all. i would recommend just sticking to the dualshock controller or if your seriously into racing fork over some money for the logitech driving force pro. it features force feedback, pedals, gear shifter and pedals for acceleration and braking. its pretty much as close to driving as you can get from a video game other logitech wheels are available with clutches six shifters and interchangeable wheels but the driving force is the best for its price alone.

I have a 1979 suzuki 550 motorcycle. When you step down on the rear brake pedal, the brake works but the pedal will not come back up to release the rear brake, I have replaced the spring that goes around...

Presuming your bike is disc brake on the rear, disconect the pedal from the piston which opperates the brake mastercylinder, by removing the clip and clevis pin, now when you press the pedal you should have no resistance at all, if the pedal still sticks then you will have to remove the pedal and knock out the shaft from the frame and clean the shaft and the hole in the frame before greasing and refitting, it may also be the piston sticking inside the mastercylinder

My "Brake" light came on

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Your brake switch is probably stick. It has a little button on it that is activated when you hit the brake. It may need changed. It controls your brake light. It is right above your brake pedal. The brake pedal hits it when the pedal is pushed in. It is usually chrome looking and a round cylinder. Go ahead and change it. It should solve your issue. Thanks for using FixYa.

Could you help with this problem? when i put my car in drive or reverse my brake lights stick and stay on the whole time.

on the top back side of brake pedal there is a brake light switch. it maybe just sticking or its out of adjustment. the brake pedal arm hits this switch everytime brakes are applied to activate the stop lights. have a good day !! if it just sticks you may be able to free it up.

Front brakes sticking after a couple of miles

There are 2 causes, 1.caliper slides are in need of servicing/lube.2, caliper(s) piston(s) need to be serviced/cleaned. Recommend replacement of both calipers, if either doesn't work.

2001 silverado 1500, just put on new pads rotors and 1 new caliper, the brakes are spungy, the wheel with the new caliper is sticking and the front passanger brake too, i cant figure out why.

Replace both front brake hoses.....they collapse on the inside and will not allow fluid to retract...caliper was probobly fine.....this happens a lot....good luck...Lee

I have a 98 Nissan Pathfinder. I noticed that the brake light keeps on even while driving or even parked and keys out and car is locked. WHen i press brake pedal, i hear a click noise once. Just one click...

check the brake light switch. when you step on the brake pedal, it allows the 'normally open' switch to move to the 'contact position'. If it's not broken, it may just need adjusted, or a shot of WD40 if it sticks.
