My Canon MP600 damages the paper and it will not feed.
When I try to print something, it starts to take the paper but then it all bunches up and then it gives the error message of "paper jam". It tells me to retrieve the paper out the back slot but the paper is not in far enough to do that. So I just pull it out the top. It takes the paper about 2 inches in, crinkles it up to the right, and then stops. Anyone that can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Re: My Canon MP600 damages the paper and it will not...
Unplug it all, turn it upside down and shake the hell out of it, there is a slim chance of ink spillage especially if its a well used printer but from experiance its usually a bug or small peice of somthing in it like a peice of lego, or bead or cockroach or pen lid or barbies shoes

hi! if that printer doesn't print at all, since it was configured by your computer, try to check it's properties to test the function of your printer.doing this go to control panel click printer, then right click printer, click properties.on properties click test your printer,if this printer, print but nothing appear on paper, back to your properties and go to maintenance,on maitenance click clean printer,on try deep cleaning if still doesn't print bring your printer to cannon service center to check the printer head. regards and thank's
I'm not sure if you've already checked this, but this was my issue. I, too, would try to print something and it would make a great deal of clunking noise but would then say that there was no paper and told me to load some. I went to the Canon site and before I actually went through the process of cleaning the print roller, I checked the feed switch button on the display panel. It's right below the ON/OFF button and, what do you know, it was set to feed from a paper cassette instead of the back loading tray. I pushed the button and it's now printing fine. I'm sure we must have accidentally hit the button when we were trying to turn the printer on or off quickly. Hope this does the trick! It's always nice when it's something easily fixed!
I just had the same problem, tried everything and resigned myself to buying a new one.
I was about to throw the thing when I saw the Card backing of an A4 Pad.
I thought I have nothing to lose so forced this through the machine and Bingo. It cured it.
