First user, remove the ice maker cover and make sure it's plugged in. Second user, check for ice buildup around the ice level indicator switch, or a clogged filter.

Ice maker not working. Seems stuck. Freezer is cold. Ice maker does not move not water in try either.

After you have checked to see your water is turned on...

All the schematic diagrams I have looked at show a SEPARATE FUSE for the Ice Maker...

That is the cheapest and best trouble... and NOTHING will work without that fuse.

There is a separate water solenoid for the water... next cheapest issue (but you could eliminate that as a possibility simply by filling the ice tray manually)...

After that I would be ordering the Ice-Maker and keeping the old one for parts.

All the fill valve power and ice making SMARTS are inside the ICE-MAKER.

Good luck with that!

My icemaker stopped working but the water on the door still works what can the problem be model number 106.51552104

02fd7a9b-9a65-43a6-ae76-6bf68d211304.jpgThanks for the model number. If the ice slots inside the ice maker are empty try pouring tap water in and allow the water to freeze. If after the water freezes the ice drops into the ice bucket and the ice maker does not refill this would indicate that the side of the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve is defective on the side that controls ice maker water supply. If the ice maker just sits there and does nothing this would point to a defective ice maker. Depending what is wrong with the ice maker will determine what parts are replaced. Here is a list of those parts here=> Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.51552104 Ice Maker Parts and if need you may be able to find a complete ice maker replacement by asking. Most people don't like replacing ice maker parts. I am here should you have questions or comments, Sea Breeze

I have a whrilpool refrigerater the ice maker will not fill with water?

Bonjour,
Ice makers can clog. The water valve can stick open or closed or even not work at all. The water fill nozzle can clog with ice or food. If the unit has been moved the water line could be kinked or the water filter may be clogged. Maybe the water valve for the ice maker water line is turned off. Is there one under the sink? Inside most ice makers there is a thermostat that tells the ice maker that the water is frozen and it's time to dump the ice cubes. That starts a geared motor running to dump out the cubes. And in some cases a mold heater is turned on to help break the ice cubes loose. A lot of ice makers have a cam attached to the motor that turns with the shaft. When the ice cubes are gone the cam starts a timer to refill the ice maker with fresh water to make some more ice cubes. Most "fill" cycles of ice makers are "timed fill". The fill cycle has to start and stop to get fresh water into the ice maker. There may be another thermostat that monitors the air temperature where the ice maker is mounted. If that thermostat thinks the air is not cold enough to freeze water nothing happens. If all the steps don't happen at the right time no ice cubes are made.

Ice maker doesn't dispense ice

The most reasonable things could be that the gas ran out; the buttons and thermostat don't work; power issues; or you might have a leakage on the gas pipe.
Try calling a fridge/air condition technician to verify this.

Ice maker has quit working.

It is a simple design. Nothing else in the ice box has anything to do with ice production. The ice maker adds its own water and knows when to harvest with a thermostat built within. All it requires from the ice box is 25f in the freezer or better AND a good water supply valve. Here's how it all goes down: The bi metal thermostat gets down to 25f it powers up a heater to release the the ice and a motor turns the ice out, at very near the end of the cycle 7.5 seconds worth of water is added to the ice mold for future ice production. For the DYIer it is best to start with the water valve because it is cheapest. That might fix the problem. If it don't fix it then yall can use the hundred bucks ya saved by taking the old ice maker down to the home depot and getting another. You will already have a new water valve so a new ice maker completes the deal. Nothing else in the icebox controls ice production. Try this: Add some water to the ice mold manually and wait. If a batch pops out I strongly suspect the water valve is bad. If their is already ice in the mold waiting to be dumped the yall need a new ice maker. The innards have gone haywire.

Get a new ice maker. Nothing in the ice box controls the whims of that ice maker. Only it can dictate whether or not it wants to work correct.

This is the service manual for you machine. The wiring diagrams on pages 56 and 57 shows that the machine does nothing unless the bin control is in the "Closed position. It is a temperature controled switch. If it is broken, not works. Check that out first.
