is there a way to take apart the lent trap. the bottom is very dirty, and i was wondering how to clean it. thank you

Yes you can. The dryers aren't very heavy, but lean ot over onto the front side, thus exposing the bottom side of the dryer. Then you can get to the dirt and lint. Unplug it first.
