Re: WZC for Wireless (ZyXel)
1. Click Start and Run 2. Type into the Run box "services.msc" (without the quotation). 3. Scroll down and look for the service Wireless Zero Configuration
Double Click on the Service, Screen Shot of the services
4. Make sure that it is Started and that the startup type is set to automatic. Screen Shot of WZC If the Service did not Started, or and is Not set to Automatic. To Start the Service click on the Start button. To set the service to automatic, click on the down arrow and change it to Automatic

There are 3 folders, one for Windows XP, one Windows Vista, and one for Windows 7. You can extract the folder you need for the version of Windows you have. Then you can use the Found New Hardware Wizard to install the drivers.
I'm NOT a Windows guru, but I think this is an issue with Windows, not your Zyxel driver.
There is a setting somewhere in the network area of Windows that tells it to automatically connect to a known favorite network if that network appears. I suspect you just have to find that setting, turn it on, and make sure the network you use is in your list of favorites.
You have to set different ip address. To clear this up this how I got my setup. I have verizon internet. I use a westell 6100g modem, I have the local ip address set for 192.168.1.1 and I got a linksys wireless router and the ip address set for 192.168.9.1. Then I plug my modem into the wan port and it works. What am I doing is setting a static ip address from my modem to the router and using the router to distribute my address through the network. If you have any printers on the network you need to change that numter to 192.168.9.x number. If you don't have two different numbers set the router will take over.
Problem with the Zyxel P-660? I experienced:
1. laptop would see the wireless 660HW briefly and then it would disappear.
2. laptop would not see wireless at all.
3. same issue with desktop when using USB wireless 11g dongle
4. no problem on wired connection (ethernet)
EASY solution! if Zyxel is set to scan for a channel it will want to work on channel 13 nearly every time in a busy environment.
HP laptops and many receivers cannot recieve on 13 - highest channel is 12.
Pick on setting for the Zyxel which matches an available channel on your receiver. Problem solved.
if you only have usb connection in your modem, internet on the zyxel router will not work since it's using ethernet connection. in order for your zyxel device to work with tiscali, you will need a cable/dsl router that has ethernet connection as well. you can contact tiscali if they can provide you with that kind of modem.
I had an almost identical problem and contacted Tech support at Zyxel. They were excellent and the guy talked me through to a solution. The main issue related to 'Bandwith management' which defaults to active on the router configuration. Unset all three (Wan, Lan, Wlan) and see if it sorts out problem. Because of some other issues I did have to reset the router to start with and on the wireless client I unset 'Obtain IP address automatically' and used an IP address with the default gateway set to the router address. If this does not help, I would recommend talking to Zyxel Tech Support, the consultant I spoke to was brilliant.
