Which port do you need to fiddle with? Do you need to wiggle the end by the tablet or the compuer? If it's he computer do you have problems with any other USB devices and that port?

Which end of the cord? The end to the tablet, or the end going to your computer? Also, is it USB and if so is one end built into the graphics tablet or are both detachable?

If you are using a Dell with Vista on it you can't use Mac )SX drivers. Get the Vista driver from here for the Intuos3: ftp://198.145.255.42/drivers/IBMPC/pro/WacomTablet_605-7.exe

SOURCE: Wacom pen does not function

Unfortunately I had the same problem.

Its from moisture in the pen, could be from humidity or something spilling on it. Try searching google for information on how to fix wet electronics. (Im quite sure youre not supposed to use heat)

SOURCE: My computer suddenly won't recognize

i would suggest reinstalling the software that comes with the graphics table as this should also include any drivers. i presume you have tried the device on more then one usb port on your computer as well.

what operating system are you using ?

Make sure driver is installed and there is not any ? mark or yellow ! mark in device manager.
Reinstall your tablet driver then check.
Uninstall all usb driver from computer.
Connect your tablet to computer then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode.
Make sure usb cable is works fine if you connect your tablet to computer with usb cable.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: My wacom tablet has loses connection

You should get the tablet, and then get some tape, and then move around the wire, and then when it turns on, tape it onto the tablet, and then it should work intill you take off the tape.

Wacom Intuos Pro continues flashing a single white light, and no longer responds on any computer or with any USB cable, is it the battery or the wiring inside?

Laptops are much more limited on the supply side for powering USB devices. This is limited by the operating system in the computer. There are some things that you can try such as a shorter cord if the cord is detachable. The cord length affects the voltage and that in turn affects the current. The OS then senses it a drops the connection. This is partly for safety and partly for battery conservation. For some time, that device was not recommended by Apple to be used for that matter. There was a bulletin issued on it but it appears that Apple did not do anything to change the situation.

Since you are running Windows Vista on your PC this is the driver you should have downloaded.

Serial cables are not hot swappable. The computer and tablet should be turned off before you plug them in.

Wacom Cintiq won't turn on

Hi Joni Lu: I had the exact same problem with my Cintiq 21 UX. Mine is similarly, about 5 years old. I called every where looking for an authorized or unauthorized repair shop... but to no avail. I finally called Wacom tech support and they told me the unit had to be shipped to Vancouver Washington to be repaired in a "clean" room because of dust. Knowing the expense that would incur (I'm in Toronto Canada), I deliberated for a few days before deciding to open it myself. The reasoning being I could see the back of the power button plate through the air vents in the back. I don't think the power button assembly was part of the sealed screen assembly. First I made sure it was unplugged. Then I lay it flat on it's front and took off all the screws. There's a copper foil that covers the back of the power button and screen controls assembly. After lifting it off I jiggled the wires, unplugged and plugged the wire connectors for the power button and the screen control sections and made sure all the screws were tightened. After replacing the back and plugging the power plug in, I tested the power button... and LO AND BEHOLD it worked perfectly!! Cross my fingers, it's been an hour now it's still working. I think I may have saved myself 3 grande by taking this initiative. Hopefully this helps Joni_Lu.

Hey I had this problem too with my Bamboo too, I'm not sure if it was anything I changed or whatever but either way the blue light was on but it wasn't registering the pen.

I found a way just minutes ago to fix it however!

Go into 'start', 'all programs', then look for 'pen tablet'. Hopefully you should have this. If not then download the latest driver for your tablet from the wacom website and that should install it.

Next choose 'pen tablet preference file utilty'. Then under 'my preferences' choose to remove. Bingo! All was well in the world again.

This worked for me so hopefully it will for some of you guys too! Good luck!
