Will not take more than a few pictures.

The camera locks up after a couple pictures. When you click on the REVIEW button, you get a PROCESSING message and the camera chugs along until the battery dies. Have tried different SD cards and New Batteries.

I had the same problem using a Play.com 8Gb SDHC card. I replaced it with a SanDisk 4Gb SDHC card and the problem hasn't reoccurred.

Seems these cameras don't like "cheap" SD cards.

Could be a couple of things.
Hopefully, you accidentally configured the camera to not provide an instant review.

To set the instant review time:
In Capture mode, Press the menu button
use the 4-way controller (up/down arrows) to select [instant review]
press the 4-way controller (right arrow)
Use the 4-way controller (up/down arrows) to change the display time
press the OK button.
Press the menu button to return to capture status.

I cant take picture just see them

The camera does not take a picture when I press the Shutter button.
• Press the Shutter button all the way down.
• Make sure you are in Picture Capture.
• The memory card or internal memory may be full. Transfer images from the camera to your computer, then format the internal memory or the memory card. Or replace the card with a new one.
• The camera may be processing. Wait a few seconds for the camera to finish processing the last image before taking another picture.

If this dont solve it, send us additional details in your description.

New camera won't work!

That message is probably because you have not saved any images in the camera's internal memory. Whatever pictures you took are on the SD card. Try taking a couple of pics using the SD card and try the review. If you are able to review, then all is well. If you cannot review, then one of 2 things:
1. Faulty SD card..Replace or format it.
2. Remove the SD card and take a pic. The pic will be saved in the camera's internal memory. If you still cant preview, probably a fault with the camera, and you'll need to service it.

Why does it take so long to process a picture ?

All digital cameras require a few seconds of processing time per picture. During the processing time, the camera is enhancing the image, compressing it as a JPEG image file, and then writing to the flash memory.

Review the EXIF file information

The feature for reviewing EXIF file information is built into the Windows XP operating system. To review EXIF file information: Right-click a picture file, and then select Properties. Select the Summary tab, and then click the Advanced button. The Advanced window provides details about the picture file.
