Question about HP PSC 1350 All-In-One Thermal Printer

Check print cartridge

My 1350PSC has a flashing light indicating to check the print cartridge. I bought a new black ink cartridge (color feels heavy like it still has plenty of ink). I bought a NUtone or some generic brand because it was cheaper. IAfter installing the new ink cartridge, I turned the printer off and back on. The flashing light still indicates a problem with the ink.

How do I reset the printer, so that it recognizes the new ink?? By the way, the printer is NOT currently connected to a PC.

I have a new laptop which I am trying to install this printer to. The installation keeps failing because it can not find some h: drive. One problem at a time!!!

There's a manual for all printers that says what combination of buttons you have to press to reset it. also, usually the software has the option, too.

for the laptop you probably need the correct drivers so that it'll recognize the printer as a printer. the printer probably has an internal memory stick or something that contains some things for the laptop to later retrieve, but the acces is denied for now due to the fact that it's not jet installed. so first try to get the correct drivers.
also there can be a problem if there's a setting somewhere on your laptop that makes it look for the printers on a removable drive, and it's not present.

How to remove the ink cartridges?

Can I print if I do not have a color cartridge? I have a new black cartridge and recycled the empty color cartridge without replacing it. Now I get a flashing red light indicating I need ink and nothing...


Yes, go to print properties and find the print in gray scale and it will print in black only. WHen you open the print window. Click on preferences and then look for the color tab. Click on the "print in grayscale" box.

ORANGE LIGHT IS BLINKING AND PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT


The Amber light is designated as the "Ink Error" light. With regards to a Hewlett Packard printer, the Amber light is indicating that one of the Ink Cartridges (Tri-Color/Black) is empty, defective, unrecognizable, or just simply needs to be changed. The procedure is; lift up the front cover, look at the Black Ink Cartridge, and examine the Ink Level Window on the Cartridge, located at the center of the Cartridge. If the square window appears to be a solid Green then that means the cartridge is completely full. If it is Half Green/Half Black then it is indicating that the cartridge is half way full, and if the square window is completely Black, then the cartridge is completely empty. Also, remove and examine the Tri-Color Cartridge. If the Tri-Color Cartridge feels very light or if the Tri Colors on the bottom of the Cartridge appear to be discolored i.e. All Magenta, All Cyan, or All Yellow, then the Cartridge should immediately be changed. After replacing the Black or Tri-Color Cartridge, your printers Green Power Light will flash and allow you to continue your print job
You can also try:
Clean the cartridge and carriage contacts with a cotton swab moistened with water. If you have refilled the cartridges don't assume that they will still work. If cleaning doesn't help you may have a failed cartridge even if it is not refilled.
If you are getting a grinding noise, clean the carriage rod with alcohol and lubricate it with a few drops of Tri-Flow, available in 2 oz. squeeze bottles at cycle shops.

Changing color cartridge on my epson stylus color 980 printer.


If you need to replace an ink cartridge in your printer, please follow the instructions below:

To confirm which ink cartridge requires replacement, please use the printer's control panel (there is a black ink out indicator, as well as a color ink out indicator ), or the Status Monitor in your computer.

Red light flashing - Low ink
Red light solid - Out of ink

1. Open the printer cover and press the INK (Cleaning) button for 3 seconds. The print head moves to the center and the lights flash.
2. Lift up the ink cartridge clamp. The cartridge rises up from its holder.
3. Remove the cartridge and dispose of it carefully. If ink gets on your hands, wash them with soap and water. If ink gets in your eyes, flush them immediately with water.
4. Unpack the new ink cartridge and remove the yellow tape. You must remove the yellow tape from the top of the cartridge. Do not remove the clear seal underneath the cartridge. Do not touch the green circuit board on the back of the cartridge, or you may inhibit normal operation and printing.
5. Tilt the new cartridge toward you slightly as you insert it. Lower the cartridge so that the tabs rest on the hooks. Do not place the cartridge tabs under the hooks.
6. Press down firmly on the ink cartridge clamp until it snaps in place.
7. If you need to replace the other ink cartridge, repeat steps 2 through 6 before continuing with step 8 (to move printhead over to color (if black was replaced first) press the cleaning button once).
8. Press the INK (Cleaning) button once, and close the printer cover. The printer begins charging the ink delivery system.
9. Wait until ink charging is finished (the power light stops flashing and the red error light goes out).

HP Laser Jet 1320. Orange light next to triangle symbol keeps flashing. This began after a paper jam. I cleared the paper jam but can not get the light to stop and so it wont print. I have shut it off...

HP Deskjet 6940 not printing after replacing ink cartridge


My HP Deskjet 6940 is not printing. The color (left) low ink light is dark and the black (right) low ink light is flashing. I replaced the black ink cartridge with a new one but the low ink light continues to flash. No tears/rips in the circuit strip and all the copper leads appear to be connected

Hi Greenhorn, Your info is slightly conflicting - I think. As I remember the C60 has just 2 LED's: 1 - Green for Power 2 - Red for Error The third button - Cartridge exchange - has no LED Now it is a while since I looked at a C60 and my brain leaks like a sieve, but that's the way I remember it and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. The error codes I remember are: Printer status - Indicators - Priority Power - Error Power ON condition On - Ink sequence Blink - Ink Cartridge change mode Blink - Data processing Blink - Paper Out *1 - On Paper jam condition *1 - On Ink end (Black) *1 - On -> Blink Ink level low (Black) - Blink-> Blink Ink end (Color) *1 - On -> Blink2 Ink level low (Color) - Blink-> Blink2 Ink end (Black and Color) - On -> On No Ink Cartridge (Black or Color) *1 - On Maintenance request (Ink Overflow Countererror) *1 Alt Blink Alt Blink Fatal error *1 Off On Special setting Blink2 Blink2
