as you said its displaying the battery icon on the screen.that means it is nor charged properly.and screen goes blankk that is because of not charged properly.so it incicates the basttery problem.remove the battery clean the internal contacts and insert the battery again in the unit and charge it and check out again.if you have any spare battery insert it and check out.aS if under warranty get the battery replaced from the servicenter.
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Based on your post, a most likely case of battery not charging or battery no longer holding charge. Unfortunately, no external key manipulations would correct this type of problem as it is hardware or in some instances, firmware. Trying to open it up and check on the charging circuitry and/or the battery would void your warranty. Anent to this, it may be to your advantage to return said unit for replacement or warranty repair.
Alternatives would be to try and check the voltage of the output of the charger with e DVM/VOM. In some instances, cleaning the jack/plug may help due to possible corrosion.
Pls post back updates. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
Either the unit is not getting properly charged.so the adapter can be faulty or the battery is faulty needs replacement.remove the battery clean it then reinsert it and check out.
